Most business owners can tell you what's wrong with their business.
Sales are down.
Margins are shrinking.
Employees aren't performing.
Customers are frustrated.
But here's my question:
Are those the problems... or just the symptoms?
As business owners, we're often like a person taking aspirin for a headache while ignoring the fact that they're only sleeping four hours a night. 😄
The most successful leaders don't just solve visible problems, they identify where the problem actually lives.
Here is my "CGL" framework:
✅ Clarity – Understand what is really happening.
✅ Growth – Focus on the actions that create results.
✅ Leadership – Build the people and systems to sustain success.
As mentioned recently, in coaching, I often ask clients to evaluate four key areas:
• Business & Career
• Financial Independence
• Health & Fitness
• Family & Relationships
Why?
Because a business problem isn't always a business problem.
Sometimes it's a leadership problem.
Sometimes it's a clarity problem.
Sometimes it's an owner trying to do $25/hour work when their time is worth $250/hour.
The leaders who grow the fastest are the ones who stop chasing symptoms and start identifying their true focal point. When you know where the problem lives, you know where to start.
What's one challenge in your business today that might be a symptom of a bigger issue?
Most business owners can tell you what is wrong. They struggle to tell you why.
