ONE. WEEK. TO. GO. 👀🀄

And Allison M. came to PLAY tonight! She called four Mahjongs, finished with the highest score of the night at 115 points and officially broke into the top three overall! 🎉

But we also need to talk about Lori K.

Lori learned to play in June and was a little nervous about joining league. Tonight, she called her first, second AND third league Mahjongs of the season, earned 105 points and jumped 19 spots in the rankings! Watching her celebrate was easily one of my favorite moments of the night. This is exactly why I love league. 🌸

Next week is our grand finale! Our league champion will get their choice of a tile set from Charleston Mahjong Club, and we’ll have some other special prizes and surprises throughout the night.

Week 4 brought firsts, big scores and some SERIOUS defense at Heartwork Brewing 🀄🌸🍻

Zoie called her very first league Mahjong tonight…and then decided one wasn’t enough and got TWO! 🎉 Alyssa, Bonnie and Megan Y. also celebrated their first league wins!

A few more highlights:

🌸 Sara B. earned the highest overall score of the night with 115 points
🌸 Kaitlyn had the biggest single win at 45 points
🌸 We had NINE wall games. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you make absolutely sure nobody else does. 😂

After four weeks, our top three are:

🥇 Natalie: 365
🥈 Erin: 295
🥉 Aubrey: 250

We have just TWO weeks left, and this leaderboard is far from settled! 👀

This crew is rocking! I can’t believe it is already Week Four. If you are having fomo, our next traditional league kicks off Monday, October 5.

Registration will go live at noon on Tuesday, September 1.

Okay Bloomington Mahj people... we have another way to PLAY and it kicks off this week 🀄️🌸

I am SO excited to bring The Mahjong Open Fall Season to Bloomington and serve as your City Commissioner!

So what is The Mahjong Open?

🌸 An 8-week FLEX Mahjong league designed to meet you where you are. No standing weekly commitment or set schedule!

🀄️ YOU pick when and where you play. Heartwork, a coffee shop, someone’s house, your pool (invite me 👀)... wherever works!

🌸 Play as much or as little as you want. Your best 7 of 8 weeks count toward your final score.

🀄️ Pick your Mahj vibe. Social and chatty, focused and ready to MOVE, or a Lightning game when you need to get it done!

🌸 Make new Mahj friends! You do NOT need your own foursome. I’ll be hosting games you can sign up for, and anyone in the league can host a match.

🀄️ It’s $80 for the Fall Season.

And YES, my Monday Mahj in Bloom League is still very much a thing! The Open gives us another way for MORE people to play without everyone needing to be free on the same night every week.

The last month of Mahj in Bloom has been phenomenal because of you! Our first league launched, we taught groups at Heartwork Brewing and in homes, we played with family at the lake and love the new “I just won Mahjong” signs so much!

The fall will be busy and there are more ways to play! The Mahjong Open Bloomington kicks off this week (not too late to join us!), a September and October open play at Oliver Winery, Fall league (Oct-Nov) and some special events are in the works! If you have a venue that could be a good fit, let’s talk!

Let’s talk Mahjong Open.
So many of you are nervous about signing up because you haven’t played much.

Eureka!

That’s it. Right there. I’m bringing the Mahjong zone to Bloomington so that you have more opportunities to play. You don’t have to find the people and you don’t have to host unless you want to. You just sign in and claim a game. They event list different styles of play (social, focused, lightning).

You play when and where you want. Maybe with me! I’ll be hosting tables at hime and around town every single week and would love to play with you!

We had 40 total wins across the room, with 26 different players getting to yell MAHJONG! Honestly, that might be my favorite stat of the night.

Natalie and Aubrey each picked up three wins, helping them hold onto their spots near the top of the leaderboard. Allison M. Cracked the top three and Holly came in hot with a 55-point win! 🔥

Extra cheers for Rhonda, Kennedy, Joni and Holly, who all celebrated their first league wins! 🎉
