I’ve always believed curiosity is one of the most underrated qualities we can have.

Curiosity asks:

What else could I learn?

Who else could I meet?

What haven't I considered?

What might be possible if I stop assuming this is the only way?

History gives us plenty of opportunities to reflect and learn, and today has me thinking about exploration and discovery.

In business and in life, some of my greatest opportunities have come because I was willing to remain curious enough to explore something unfamiliar.

Keep asking questions.

Keep learning.

Keep growing.

You never know what the next conversation, opportunity, or idea might open up.

Ballroom dancing taught me that leadership is not about dragging someone across the floor.

There must be trust, communication, awareness, and a willingness to adjust. When one person tries to perform both roles, the dance becomes awkward very quickly.

Business is not so different.

What would create a smoother dance in one working relationship: clearer direction, greater trust, or more room for the other person to lead?

Exposure is not the same as opportunity.

A podcast interview can give you visibility.

But if your message is unclear, your stories are scattered, and your follow-up is missing, the opportunity usually ends when the recording stops.

Podcast Guest Profits will help you change that.

This live 2-hour and 30-minute masterclass will show you what to do before, during, and after the interview so you can become the kind of guest hosts remember and audiences trust.

Top producers don't have a secret formula.

What they do have are systems, processes, and the discipline to keep showing up—even when the market changes.

Lady Jen Du Plessis sits down with mortgage leader and Origination Boost author Mandi Feely for a conversation about what sustainable success actually looks like in the mortgage industry.

They dig into consistency, gratitude, referral relationships, building the right team, letting go of control, and why sometimes the smartest thing you can do is stop watching everyone else's race and focus on running your own.

If you've been trying to carry every part of your mortgage business yourself, this conversation may be the reminder you need.

Everyone has advice.

But not everyone has counsel.

That distinction came up in my conversation with Karl Post, and it stopped me in my tracks.

Advice can come from people who love you, support you, and genuinely want the best for you.

Counsel comes from people who have walked the road.

People who have made the decisions.
Built the businesses.
Made the mistakes.
And lived with the outcomes.

Karl and I also dive into strategy, content marketing, reach, discovery, conversion, AI, leadership, and why trying to figure everything out alone can actually slow your growth.

And yes—we also talk about something business owners sometimes forget:

Have some fun.

"Am I good enough?" may be the wrong question.

Good enough to begin? To test? To help one person achieve a meaningful result?

Choose one thing you have delayed because it does not feel ready. Identify the minimum standard required to test it responsibly, then take one visible step.

You do not need to prove everything to everyone before you begin.

Happy National Podcast Day! 🎙️

I’ve spent a lot of years behind a microphone, but for me, podcasting has never really been about the microphone.

It’s about the conversation.

The conversation that gives someone a new perspective.

The story that reminds someone they aren’t alone.

The idea that sparks the next big move in a business.

The wisdom shared from lessons learned, risks taken, ceilings broken, and successes earned.
I’m incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to host three shows that each speak to a different part of that journey:

🎙️ Mortgage Lending Mastery — conversations created to help mortgage professionals grow, lead, and build stronger businesses.

🍷 Business on the Vine — real conversations with entrepreneurs and leaders about business, growth, leadership, and what it takes to build something that lasts.

✨ Success to Significance — conversations for accomplished women who know success is only part of the story and are ready to explore what their experience, influence, and impact are meant to become.

Three podcasts. Three different conversations. One thing connecting all of them:

People willing to share what they’ve learned so someone else can move forward.

To every guest who has trusted me with their story, every listener who has tuned in, and everyone who has shared an episode with someone who needed to hear it…thank you.

Here’s to more meaningful conversations, bigger impact, and using our voices for something that matters.

There are probably dozens, maybe even hundreds, of people who do something similar to what you do.

So why should someone choose YOU?

That question came up in my latest Business on the Vine conversation with Molly Gomez, and it led us into such a great discussion about the power of our stories in business.

Molly is a former television reporter turned international speaker and signature story strategist, and one thing she understands incredibly well is how to take everything we've experienced, learned, overcome, and accomplished and turn it into a message people can actually connect with.

Because your story isn't just something you tell from a stage.

It's part of how you network.
It's part of how you market.
It's part of how you lead.
And it's part of why people remember you.

We also talk about listening before speaking, knowing which story belongs in which room, and learning to share who you are without turning every conversation into a commercial.

If you've ever struggled with answering “What do you do?” in a way that actually feels like YOU, you're going to enjoy this conversation.
