Cottonwood Soap Company!

Meet Colleen Laux, the owner of Cottonwood Soap Company and Co-Founder/Finance & Press of the Hilton Head Community Market.

Her husband's skin was as dry as the Sahara Desert, and her heels cracked like the Grand Canyon. They spent a fortune on store-bought products with no relief. So, she took matters into her own hands, searching for DIY lotion recipes. She fell down a Pinterest rabbit hole and found beautiful soaps. She thought, "Why not try?"

Her first "easy" soap recipe was a disaster, but she didn't give up. After more research and attempts, her second batch turned out okay! She waited six weeks, and it worked!

She made so much soap that she started giving it away and getting feedback. With encouragement from friends and family, she launched Cottonwood Soap Company to share her creations with the world.

Now, her husband's skin feels great, and her Happy Heels Lotion Stick has transformed her cracked heels. Mission accomplished!
