We asked our clients and followers to nominate a deserving teacher to receive a $250 Amazon gift card for their classroom, and we are excited to announce our winner: Chandler Yoder Furman of Bridges Preparatory School!

Chandler was nominated by Deon from Collins Pest Control, who shared:

Congratulation to FWDG on your new location!

Dear Citizens of Beaufort,

Yesterday was an amazing day for my wife, Robyn, and myself.

It was opening day for Furniture Warehouse. And it was awesome.

Robyn and I were on hand for most of the day and were able to greet many people who visited. Amazingly, (not counting our family members and company Board members), we had 82 people visit our new store! Sales were well beyond our expectations.

January 15, 1972, we had another opening day. The namesake of today's Furniture Warehouse opened to a line of soon-to-be customers that stretched down Carteret Street. And we sold out of all of our furniture immediately.

Yesterday, (August 15, 2026), once again many were showing up before the doors officially opened and people continued to come in until late afternoon.

The original Furniture Warehouse morphed over time to become FWDG (Furniture Warehouse Design Gallery, or as we refer to it Fun While Doing Good).

Not only did Furniture Warehouse's sales numbers exceed our expectations yesterday, but FWDG had a record-busting day, also.

We're so thankful to our wonderful staff, led by our CEO, Donna Senica. So many of the FWDG Family poured their hearts into getting the new store up and running while keeping things rolling at FWDG. An amazing group.

I especially want to thank Mrs. Jo Loadholt, owner of the building where Furniture Warehouse is today, who was gracious enough to let a former competitor lease her building. Jo and her late husband, Bryan, were some of our toughest and friendliest competitors when they owned Beaufort Furniture.

I could keep talking and talking about the day, but I think I should probably end here.

So once again, thank you Beaufort for the warm reception you gave our new baby, Furniture Warehouse.
