Tech Tip Tuesday (12V):
Remote start best practices for winter

A couple quick tips to keep things running smooth:

* Don't remote start over and over (2 cycles is plenty)
* If your car cranks slow, get the battery tested first
* Keep your key fob battery fresh (weak fob battery = inconsistent range)
* Let the defroster do the work, then drive gently for the first few minutes

Tech Tip Tuesday:
Would You Know If “IT” Was Actually a Hacker?

A recent attack technique is putting a new spin on an old trick:
cybercriminals are impersonating IT support.

Microsoft recently reported attacks where employees received calls or text messages claiming their passkey, MFA, or company login needed to be updated immediately. The attacker then guided the employee through what appeared to be a legitimate setup process.

The scary part? Some of these attacks can lead users through real Microsoft authentication pages while still giving the attacker access.

🛡️ How to protect yourself:
✅ Be suspicious of unexpected calls or texts claiming to be IT support.
✅ Never approve an MFA, passkey, or authentication change you didn't initiate.
✅ Don't follow login instructions from an unsolicited caller.
✅ When in doubt, hang up and contact your IT provider using a known phone number.

An IT provider should be able to verify who they are.
A cybercriminal hopes you won't ask.
