Shipping Quality Control
Job Description
Shipping Quality Control is a vital role in the shipping process. They will oversee, participate and check over the loading process daily.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Attention to detail
• Quality Control are responsible in checking both quantity and quality of consumer good before, during and after moving the products.
• They help coordinate and control the cycle of the company’s loading process.
• Quality Control are in charge in the allocation of duties of others involved in the loading process.
• QC should identify logistical problems and plan appropriate solutions with supervisor.
• Communicate daily with supervisor and loading crew to minimize potential challenges.
• Checking over loaded trucks to ensure safety, accuracy and order.
• Filling out shipping paperwork to accurately reflect shipments.
• Responsible for making sure trucks are loaded safely and in a timely fashion.
• Will have to answer for all orders not shipped or completed.
Education and Experience Requirements
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• One to three months related experience and / or training
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehends the English language.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical skills
• Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to utilize various computer applications and systems pertaining to shipping and receiving functions.
