After nearly 8 months of closure following Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the Port Boca Grande Lighthouse & Museum is finally reopening its doors to the public—TODAY at 11 AM!

Our team has poured heart and soul into restoring this treasured landmark, and we’re beyond excited to welcome you back to the beauty, history, and charm that make this lighthouse so special. Come stroll through our exhibits, soak in the stunning views, and be part of this joyful comeback!

📅 Today’s Hours: 11 AM – 4 PM
🕰️ Regular Hours (Starting May 6):
• Tuesday thru Sunday: 11 AM – 4 PM (Closed Mondays)
🕰️ Summer Hours (Starting in June):
• Tuesday thru Saturday: 11 AM – 4 PM (Closed Sunday & Monday)

Boca Grande on Gasparilla Island is renowned for its pristine beaches, but it also harbors a remarkable historical structure that many visitors might overlook. The Port Boca Grande Lighthouse, constructed in 1890, is not only the oldest building on the island but also one of the oldest in Lee County. After being deactivated in 1966 and abandoned, it underwent a significant restoration and was rededicated in 1986.
