The Florida Share The Road Coalition and FHP have been in communication about hosting a community ride to bring awareness to all of the recent incidents.

We will be sharing more information soon.

We want to ensure this is a safe community event that is supported by FHP as well as the media, to maximize our impact.

Don’t get us the wrong… We fully understand and appreciate that without the dedication and fitness of the athletes achieving 100 miles in SUB 3:30 would never be possible.

However, the planning, logistics and COMMUNICATION are the very next critical piece to ensure this achievement as possible. With 11 Marshals, 4 Troopers, and 7 Neutral Support Vehicles COMMUNICATION and seamless with for the entire team to keep in touch without any disruption. Navigating 100 miles of public road while State Troopers secure traffic lights, protect us with a rolling enclosure, and allow for us to operate safely at 30mph for 2 hours and 25 minutes would not be possible without the right tools that provided us with!

This is as good as a rolling enclosure gets…

Fully protected at the front/back/sides of the peloton by 4 FHP Troopers and 5 Neutral Support Vehicles all with emergency lights.

Being at a Bill Bone 100 Event might be better then being part of a World Tour Race.
