Over this last year I have spent a great deal of time in hospitals,rehabilitation facilities, nursing homes, and extended care facilities with friends, family, doctors, nurses and healthcare administrators. This last week the Trump Administration announced plans make hospital care costs transparent creating a tumultuous back lash from hospitals, health care professionals and insurance companies. But if you are one who looks for the silver lining, it would appear a perfect opportunity to start reviewing your health care facility costs in purchasing, standard operating procedures, supply chain, vendor relationships, etc., much like the auto industry did some years ago from inbound raw materials, six sigma (set of management techniques intended to improve business processes), through the final delivery of the car to the user.
That's Right EVERYTHING,cradle to grave, and fix that which needs fixing and if it don't need fixing leave it alone, but important to fix as you go through your organization with very high levels of communication to insure all associates are on board at every change, so you don't have to refix!
