Self-generating enthusiasm and motivation—a mindset that goes beyond waiting for inspiration to arrive but actively nurtures it from within ourselves. It's about ensuring determination in stimulating our own spirits, steering clear of the waiting game, and instead, autonomously igniting the flame of enthusiasm.

This is also the difference between a mindset of ownership and that of a mere employee. The ownership mindset is the mindset of a creator.

Usually, we find ourselves caught in the cycle of waiting for the right moment or ideal conditions to feel fully inspired before starting a task. However, the key lies in reversing our approach—start doing to create enthusiasm instead of waiting for it to magically appear.

A powerful strategy that I have successfully applied is visualizing positive outcomes and achievements long before commencing a task. The mind is a powerful tool, and envisioning success can create a potent sense of motivation. Picture the end result, savor the feeling of success, and let that mental image drive your actions. By creating a vivid mental picture of success, of excellent results, you infuse motivation and meaning into your work.

Consider this: Instead of waiting for the motivation to write a report or start a project, take the time to imagine the completed work, enjoy the feeling of success, and let this mental image propel you into action.

Furthermore, adhere to the principle of "doing to feel." In other words, initiate the task at hand to experience the satisfaction of progress and achievement. Starting, even when motivation is lacking, often stimulates enthusiasm. It's a self-perpetuating cycle—action breeds enthusiasm, and enthusiasm, in turn, fosters more action.

So, challenge yourself to break free from the cycle of waiting for motivation. Challenge yourself to step out of the old comfort zone. Instead, seize the opportunity, visualize success, and initiate action to reignite the flame of enthusiasm. By embracing this mindset, we become the architects of our lives, designing our own journey, steering our ship towards success and abundance.
