Are We Building Schools for the World Our Kids Are Actually Entering?

Every school leader I talk to carries the same quiet worry.
Not budgets. Not test scores, though those matter. It's this: are we actually preparing kids for a world we can barely predict ourselves?

A 2025 Discovery Education survey of nearly 1,400 educators found that 99% believe engagement is one of the top predictors of student success. Only a third say their students are actually engaged.

That's not a teaching problem. It's an environment problem. Kids will graduate into a world that demands collaboration across distance, digital fluency (AI), and fast problem-solving under pressure but most of the school day still looks like it did 100 years ago: rows, a board, information in one direction.
