Here at Viper Risk Management Group, we have a programs to insure the mobile merchandise vendors / merchandise trailer operations. Most tracks and facilities require the insurance to occupy the premises, like Charlotte, Williams Grove and Eldora to name a few. We have the insurance requirements for most facilities. If you have a merchandise trailer / operation, we can help. A good bit of files that we have seen from other places are not correct because taking the operation to a race venue is not a covered peril and some of these carriers don't even know that the operation is mobile.

Same for race haulers / race teams. Teams / Owners who have their haulers insured under a company and blended their race hauler into their truck fleet have a good chance that if a claim were to arise, their underwriting company is going to deny having any knowledge what the units were utilized for and what the units actually are. A high probability the carrier will either decline coverage or non-renew when they find out. Seen it more times that I can count. Most admitted carriers have motorsports exclusions right in their policy language. A toterhome is different that a motorhome. Insurance companies identify them differently. If someone tells you different, they do not have first hand dialog with an actual underwriter and exhibiting an assumption that is factually incorrect. A motorhome is a custom direct build unit. A toterhome is a conversion. There is a distinct underwriting difference.

Additionally, we have a program to insure race equipment in an Off Track program.

We have specialized in this for the last 15 years. We have seen and heard it all. We have more stories we could share about assumptions of coverage that didn't actually exist, swore a carrier understood items were motorsports associated, a claim emerged and the carrier didn't. Seen a bunch of files cancelled for trying to insure motorsports assets in company fleets. The time to learn that you have a coverage issue is not during a claim because of a bad assumption.

We also insure race tracks, manufacturers, part suppliers, distribution and have had success with workers comp for race team operations.

After this most recent tropical storm, its important to know that you can buy voluntary Flood Insurance, even if you live in-land and your lender does not require it. In-land hits are the worst. No one expects it and they are a majority of the hits from the storm once the storm hits landfall.

Most people will fall in whats called a Flood Zone X which is the least hazard zone and premiums are typically / relatively cheap for the product. Residential or Commercial coverage available.
