Padme loves coming to work at the funeral home and cemetery for Memorial Day weekend. She goes all over the park shaking babies, kissing hands, spreading joy… and stealing lots of goose poops.

Welp. Here we are again. She was at the vet all day, woke up at 5am to start giving her meds, dropped her off at 7am, picked her up at 7:30pm. 2 hour surgery than another 4 hour surgery. Lots of teeth gone (10! apparently she had extra grown into each other), had all of her gums shaved down (classic Boxer genetic gingival hyperplasia) and her fistula got fixed (hole that went from her gum line directly to her sinus cavity). She’s gonna be in lots of pain for awhile, her mouth looks like a war zone. Drugs are good ‘mkay. Shout out to Dr. Throne and her team at Intermountain Pet Hospital in Meridian, they are amazing and so so caring. Their text and phone call updates throughout the day were over the top comforting.

Padme loves coming to work at the funeral home for the extra pets and face licks, but I know she’s really in it because the lady at the burger place makes her own little baggie of fries and burger patty.

Chapman University Survey of American Fears Wave 9 has come out with their results from 2023. This is a report of Americans who report being afraid or very afraid.
*Interesting to note our thoughts on death and dying of our loved ones versus ourselves.
*Also, I did not expect sharks to be much higher on this list than half of these.
