Be intelligent enough in your business to adapt. Being closed minded and fixated on "old ways" will only hamper the health of your company. This is especially important if you have employees.

MY ODE TO SHADY BUSINESSEMEN . To those of you whom love to operate under a different code.

A Lesson in Shadows

I saw him stumble, cloaked in need,
A tale of hardship, a fragile seed.
His words, a tapestry, finely spun,
A desperate plea beneath the sun.

I reached my hand, my heart laid bare,
To lift his burden, show I care.
Coins and kindness, time I gave,
To guide him gently from the grave.

But shadows lingered in his eyes,
A flicker born of practiced lies.
His gratitude, a polished act,
A mask to veil the hidden fact.

He sought to take, not mend his plight,
To weave deceit beneath the light.
With every favor, every thread,
The web he spun grew thick with dread.

But I, no fool, had seen this game,
The subtle greed, the quiet claim.
I watched him play, his hand revealed,
His artful theft no longer sealed.

So when he sought to bleed me dry,
I met his gaze, and with a sigh,
I spoke in tones both soft and clear,
A whisper meant for him to hear:

"Some gifts are freely given, true,
But wisdom guards the chosen few.
I see the cards you’ve tried to play,
And bid you well—be on your way."

He faltered, mask askew, undone,
The game exposed, the victory won.
For kindness, though it shines so bright,
Can wield the sharpest edge of light.
