Your company values mean nothing :)

Okay, values are great and you SHOULD have them. But the words on your wall don’t mean anything until they show up in how people actually behave!

You can put “we value innovation” on all the swag you want. But if someone brings a new idea to a meeting and it gets shot down, people learn pretty fast that the real value is “don’t rock the boat.”

Your culture isn’t just what you say it is. It’s how work actually gets done (and what you let slide).

New hires catch it faster than anyone. You tell them in the interview that you love fresh thinking, and a week in someone pulls them aside with the classic “yeah, we don’t really do that here.” 🥲

A workshop won’t fix it 🌝 A new list of values won’t either! It comes down to what you actually reward and put up with day to day.

What’s better than a little debrief over coffee?

Week one of Lead to Win is in the books! And this group is gonna be FUN.

It’s easy to get into the grind sometimes and forget how far you’ve come… here are a few things from this week that brought me immense pride and gratitude 🥹❤️

- A piece of my office vision finally came to life… There’s something about having my name and my logo up on a wall that just feels a little surreal. Huge thanks to Felt Right Peel and Stick Wall Panels for bringing the vision alive!!

- I co-facilitated a supervisor training with my friends over at Idaho Employment Lawyers, PLLC this week. While this isn’t my first name tag that has my company on it… there was something about seeing me representing ME this week that I just felt so proud of.

- and speaking of the full day workshop we did… My new nickname that day was “high energy Megan” 😂 there have been many times and many people in my life who have tried to tell me that this was a bad thing or something that would hold me back 🙄 but to continue to have that be recognized as my superpower and the strength that I bring, and a reason that people love working with me.. I just feel so seen and so able to be my best self 🥰

-a few of my friends used The Locker Room Boise yesterday and left me a sweet present and card… 🥹 I LOVE sharing my space with people and I love these people.. and the card made me a tear up a little I’m not gonna lie 😂😂 Jenn Stevens Colin Koach Brian Fretwell

A common FAQ: “What if I can’t make every session?”

I get it, life happens. But I’ll be real with you, you’re going to have a little FOMO. 

You’ll get the key takeaways and materials, but there are no make ups. If you want the real deal, you gotta show up live. All the sessions build on one another and you’ll build upon the skills you’re learning. 

So my best advice is this.. protect that calendar at all costs!
