It’s been an honor to work alongside CSHQA as they think intentionally about what’s next.
For 137 years, they’ve continued to evolve, adapt, and build.

That kind of longevity doesn’t happen by accident. Our work together has been about looking beyond the next quarter or even the next year and creating a long-term growth strategy that honors where they’ve been while getting clear about where they want to go.

There’s something special about working with a team willing to have the deeper conversations, challenge assumptions, and make deliberate decisions about their future.

A founder I worked with had a pricing problem nobody could see.

Every proposal went through him. Every quote lived in his head. Every new opportunity started with a meeting with him.

The twelve month bill: 60+ pricing conversations escalated to his desk. 14 client objections his team could have handled. 6 proposals delayed by internal confusion about the number.

One unanswered strategic question, what is our actual pricing logic, generating interest payments every week for a year.

The fix took two hours. We mapped the variables already in his head into a one page system his team could use on their own.

The next six months: four pricing conversations reached his desk. Four.

Two hours of thinking eliminated fifty reactive conversations.

Poor thinking creates more work than good thinking costs. Every time.

One of the hardest leadership questions is also one of the simplest:

What if I’m part of the problem?

Not because you’re a bad leader, but because the habits that helped you build the business can eventually become the habits that keep your team dependent on you.

Dave described Think First as his guidebook for getting his team “to think instead of thinking for them.”
