Who is your TOUGHEST audience?

For many of my clients in senior leadership roles, it's the SPEAKING part of the job that is the hardest. These audiences include:

🤝 Board of directors.

🤝 Investors.

🤝 Direct reports.

🤝 Anything public facing (like when you are voluntold to speak on behalf of the company at a conference!)

As leaders rize up through the ranks based on their talent and job effectiveness, they are in for a bit of a rude awakening when speaking as the mouthpiece of the company becomes part of their job as well.

When you're unsure, don't stress—no choice is a bad choice. Follow your fear and see where it takes you.

In improv, we have a fun game called “New Choice,” and what makes it SO fun, is that we get to blurt out ideas spontaneously, without filtering, and if need be, our teammate calls out “New Choice!” and we have an immediate opportunity to test out a different idea.

It’s a high energy, rapid fire effect that shows how many different directions we can take a single idea.

The world is FILLED with potential, just on the other side of our fear of failure.

🤝Create connection. It invites your audience to lean in and connect with you. Intentional pauses give your listeners a moment to catch up and process what you are sharing.

đź§ Regain Control. It helps you handle tough questions more effectively, or simply to remain calm and collected if you temporarily lose your train of thought.

🤔 Reflect. Pausing gives everyone a moment to reflect and understand how to apply the lessons to their own lives and spark curiosity around new concepts.
