From restoring classic cars to engineering modern solutions, meet Douglas Dalrymple, one of the newest additions to Daifuku Intralogistics America.

Originally from Ohio and now based in Salt Lake City, Douglas (or Doug, as he’s commonly known) brings a passion for hands-on problem-solving and continuous learning to his role as Electrical Engineer II.

His journey started in mechanical drafting and design before evolving into electrical engineering, where he has spent the past decade building a well-rounded and practical approach to complex challenges.

Outside of work, Doug’s story takes a different turn one filled with the sound of classic and progressive rock, the rhythm of drums and guitar, and the careful restoration of two iconic 1968 and 1969 American Motors AMX vehicles.

Now, Doug is bringing that same dedication and craftsmanship to Daifuku, ready to contribute to innovative projects and help drive the future of intralogistics forward.

Welcome to the team, Doug!

What an incredible day for Daifuku Intralogistics America at the 50th running of the Chicago Corporate Challenge 5K in downtown Chicago!

This iconic event—running strong since 1977—once again brought together thousands of participants from hundreds of companies across the region, all supporting local charities through a shared love of community, wellness, and friendly competition. With nearly perfect weather, the energy on the course was outstanding from start to finish.

We were especially proud to see a fantastic turnout this year from across our organization, including colleagues from our Hobart, Remote, and Bolingbrook offices, representing many different departments. It was truly special to reconnect in person, cheer each other on, and share the experience as one team.

At the starting line, it was exciting to hear Team Daifuku recognized alongside global names like Google, JPMorgan Chase, and KPMG, a proud moment for everyone representing our organization.

A big thank you to Dan Hinch, our team captain, for leading the way and keeping Team Daifuku organized and energized throughout the event.

Team Daifuku—formerly Team Wynright and before that Team Automotion—has proudly participated in every Chicago Corporate Challenge since 1994. That’s a legacy of nearly three decades of commitment, teamwork, and community spirit.

Here’s to continuing the tradition, strengthening connections across our teams, and showing up year after year.

Meet Nara 🐶✨
Our newest office visitor is an 8-month-old Goldendoodle, and she brought an instant boost of energy, smiles, and tail wags to the team today.

A special shoutout to Daniel Diazora, Senior Systems Engineer in our Grand Rapids office, for introducing us to this little bundle of joy.

Moments like these make the workplace even more enjoyable and remind us how important connection, culture, and a few puppy cuddles can be during the day.

Big thanks to everyone for the warm welcome!
