Only 3 short weeks after hosting the Allegany County Convention, we are once again hosting the Southwestern Convention starting this Wednesday 7/29 through Saturday 8/1. This Convention is for the Fire Companies of the Southwestern New York Counties of Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, and Erie. This Convention is the one where some residents rent out their garages to the incoming fire companies.

A variety of vendors will be positioned at the firehall selling goods for public and firefighter alike. Anything from food and drinks, apparel and gifts, to firefighting equipment and displays.

*Water fights will now be located at 117 Liberty Street in front of the Bolivar Town Highway Building.*

There will be a Pulled Pork Dinner Friday and Saturday at the Bolivar American Legion, and a Chicken BBQ at the Bulldog Bar and Grill on Saturday. Our friends at the Bulldog will also be on hand at the firehall Saturday, serving beverages.

This years theme is 🤠"Backyard Hoedown"🤠. So throw on your blue jeans and a flannel, slap on your cowboy/girl boots and hat, jump on your horse, cow, or pig, and ride on down for a good time! DJ Jimmy Franklin will be mixing music on Friday Night at the hall, followed by Nashville Party Show Band "The Hootz" on Saturday.

🚨 The pad area in front of the bay doors including the adjacent area of South Street will be blocked off Friday and Saturday during the DJ and Band events.
There will be a $5 cover charge on Saturday for ANYONE of any age who is not registered with the Southwestern Association. Non Fire Company members can register as a guest with any member of the Southwestern Association.🚨

***ID WILL BE REQUIRED AND ANYONE OVER 21 WILL BE GIVEN A WRISTBAND WHICH MUST BE VISIBLE TO BE SERVED.***

Good afternoon citizens and fellow firefighters! We are again hosting the Allegany County Firemens Association Annual Convention starting tomorrow through Saturday. We will have some vendors set up at the firehall along with the days festivities. Shirts and hoodies for sale and 50/50 tickets! So come on down and check it out! 🚒👩🏼‍🚒 Thank you for the support, be safe and have fun!

🚨A general note to the public. The west end area of South Street in front of the Fire Hall will be blocked off Thursday and Friday evenings for the Firematics and Nozzle Practice Competitions. And then Saturday evening Wellsville St. & Main St. will be temporarily blocked off for the parade so please plan accordingly. We appreciate the cooperation and support of the public and hope to see you there!!🚨

🚨🚒🚨🚒The Firetruck rides rescheduled for today, will start at 5:00 p.m. For those out and about town today, bring the kiddos on over for a free ride around town! 🚨🚒🚨🚒

We ask everyone to be extra cautious while crossing the streets, or standing off the curb on the shoulder while checking out the vendors.

A reminder that Saturday we will be having our annual Pioneer Oil Days Chicken BBQ, for our Bolivar Fire Department BRCS Scholarship.

We would also like to take this time to congratulate the graduating seniors of BRCS. Especially Adam J Torrey who is one of our most active members and a 3rd generation BFD Firefighter, as well as Trinity Button, daughter of BFD President Stan Button. We wish you all the best of luck in your future!

To anyone celebrating graduation and/or alumni this weekend, be responsible and use your better judgment during AND after legal substance use. We DO NOT want to have to come cut you out of a vehicle or take you to the hospital!
