About 16 years ago in much cooler weather, Rickey and I were hauling a school bus with the old ‘67 KW with a Holmes 750. We stopped to winch a semi out of the mud from the side without unhooking the bus. Back then we didn’t have any more equipment or employees to call in for help. We just made things happen. Of course they informed us it was impossible. We did it without even needing the outriggers. Those old trucks would do the work, but they would sure work the operator just as hard. There is no replacement for sweat equity and experience. We have improved and grown by leaps and bounds, but a strong foundation is irreplaceable. Thank you to everyone who has continued to support our operation.

We are getting equipment prepared for the next couple days. We will be as ready as we can be and will do our best to help. Ground temperatures are still high, but the combination of rain prior to freezing, followed by frozen mix will make the roads dangerous. Please slow down and avoid being on the roads unless you have to. A lot of essential people will have to travel, and we will do our best to prioritize resources to keep the roads clear. Just because you can drive 70mph in this mess doesn’t mean you can stop or turn on top of it. It’s dangerous enough for TXDot, firefighters, police, doctors and nurses, and cattlemen trying to get to their pastures to feed and bust ice for drinking water. Accidents happen, and we’re here to help. Please have some compassion and be cautious.
