Disney tip: ALWAYS use the Fast Pass feature whenever possible!!!! The pics on the left were taken FIVE MINUTES after the park opened.....the lines were already terrible! The pics on the right were taken several hours later. If you have a Fast Pass, you go directly into a MUCH shorter line...generally only a few minutes! Disney dining reservations can be made 180 days in advance. If you are interested eating in the popular choices, be sure and reserve as soon ad the option is open to you. Restaurants fill up very quickly and if you wait, you could find yourself eating at odd times (supper at 3:15 pm, anyone?) or not getting in to certain venues at all! BOOK EARLY!!!

Disney tip: Need to know if a certain fireworks display is happening during your Disney trip? Use the My Disney Experience app to find out! Open the app and choose "Entertainment." Scroll down and select the show you are interested in, then open the calendar and select the date you are curious about!

Disney fireworks photography tip: to get results like those on the right instead of those on the left, do the following: for cell phones, use a stand or a tripod for your phone (like a Joby Gorillapod) and install an app designed to photo lightning and/or fireworks. For a DSLR, put your camera up on a tripod and use a remote shutter release to prevent camera shake. Set your camera on shutter priority mode (refer to your manual) and set your shutter for a very slow speed to create the streaks of light from the explosions. Your photos will improve dramatically!

Disney Princess Tip: To cut out time waiting in line to meet the princesses, consider a character meal at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at the Norway pavilion at EPCOT World Showcase! Multiple princesses are generally available and come to your table for photos and to sign autographs! Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Snow White, Belle and even Mary Poppins are often spotted!

Disney Photo Tip: when having a picture taken by one of Disney's Memory Maker photographers... if they ask you to pose in an unusual way, follow the directions! When you get your photos, there will be a little something special added!
