Dad has been gone for a year today! This picture was taken of Dad and Grandpa Sater. I'd asked Dad years ago how he dealt with the loss of his father. He said that it left the biggest void in his life that he'd ever felt. My sibling and I totally agree!
My Dad and Mom taught us all to be great readers, and my favorite book is Trustee from the Toolroom! It was written by Nevil Shute and he is my favorite author. I am the Trustee for Dad's estate, and I've felt honored do this. My parents have taught this family great old fashioned values, and I hope that Dad is proud of how we've handled his affairs.
I hope that anyone that reads this post will realize that the most important thing in life is to communicate with one's own family members. Once they've passed you cannot ever go back to that point when they were alive. If I could talk to Dad today, yes I would have questions. But, I will never regret all the time I spent next to him doing Auctions!
