Military to civilian resumes are difficult in general but add in working in counterintelligence when so much you do is classified and that makes it almost impossible…Almost.

It can be super challenging taking your military experience and figuring out how to explain it to a civilian hiring manager, especially if you’re looking to change career fields from what you’ve been doing. Been there, done that.

Almost 5 Years, Nearly 300 Orders… and My First 1-Star Review 😞

After nearly five years of writing resumes and helping people land jobs, I finally received my first 1-star review. And while it included false information, I won’t lie—it stung. I’m working with Fiverr to have it reviewed and hopefully removed.

But I realized…this feeling isn’t so different from applying for a job and not getting it. And that’s happened to me MANY times. It’s disappointing. It hurts. But just like one rejection doesn’t define your career, one bad review doesn’t define mine.

I’m still here, learning, growing, and committed to helping people craft resumes that showcase their true potential. One setback won’t stop me—just like it shouldn’t stop you. Keep pushing forward, because your next opportunity (or dream job!) could be right around the corner.
