Filled with bittersweet emotions, this wasn’t an easy decision to make. Looking back, I’m grateful for this journey, everything I’ve learned, and all the people I’ve met. Life happens and although the organizational part of me will always remain, I’m enjoying a new chapter and exploring my creative side. Thank you to everyone who has supported me. ❤

✨It's a new year, and January is Get Organized (GO) Month!✨

This is a month dedicated to helping clients create clutter-free spaces with efficient organizational systems that supports their lifestyles.

💚 Here are a few quick tips to help you get started with getting organized 💚

1️⃣ Make a plan and set goals: Create a plan for what you want to accomplish, how you'll do it, and realistic goals you want to achieve.
2️⃣ Start small: Start with a small space or one room first. Don't expect to tackle an entire house in one day.
3️⃣ Get rid of clutter: Get rid of any items you don't like, want, use, or need and consider donating or selling those items.
4️⃣ Create systems: Create an organized system that works for you. Consider using vertical space through the use of shelves, hooks, pegboards, etc. to keep things off the floor.
5️⃣ Make it fun: Put on music to keep you motivated and moving.
6️⃣ Make it a habit: Stick to good organization habits to maintain the systems you've created.

Ever been out shopping and found an organizational item that you "could" use somewhere without knowing where you'll put it or how you'll use it? Before you add it to your cart, ask yourself:

👉 Do I actually need this?
👉 Will I use it?

A well-organized space starts with intention. Find what genuinely fits your needs and keeps your space clutter-free. Otherwise, that item might become clutter or a possible return trip to the store.

So, next time you’re tempted by that cute bin or organizer, pause and evaluate. Your home (and your wallet) will thank you!

Planning is a crucial part throughout the organizing process.

I worked on a project recently that involved purchasing all new organizing products for items that were being relocated to a new space. I measured all the items that were staying to ensure I would pick out the correct size and number of containers and bins and purchase extra, and had to ensure the new storage cubbies would hold everything.

Measuring and recording each item took extra time during the decluttering session, but it was worth it since it cut down my shopping time because I knew exactly what I needed. I also had to factor in time for space planning and different arrangements during the session and account for time to assemble the cubbies (and extra time in case I was missing a tool or something went wrong) during the organizing session.

In the end, planning for and throughout each step ensures that the project and sessions go smoothly in order to deliver an exceptional client experience and expectations that satisfies their needs.

I know looking at a space, closet, drawer, etc. can seem overwhelming if you're unsure of how or where to start.

But, when you're ready to start decluttering a space, here are a few ways to get and stay motivated:
✅Start with a goal and positivity.
✅Work in manageable sessions (10-30 minutes).
✅Take breaks and come back when ready.
✅Consistency is key!

I've been behind due to a recent move and getting settled in and organized but I'm still here 😉.

The thought and excitement of moving to a new place has always been exciting for me. But the process of packing, physically moving, unpacking and putting things into place can be overwhelming (yes, even for me) with life still going on. But it's gonna get done, I get through it, and it makes me feel productive and creative.

So many thoughts about moving and the stuff we own has crossed my mind during this process so this week's post is move-related, and I may have some move-related decluttering tips coming soon for you 😉.

If you need some motivational inspiration to store linens, here we go!

Some of the challenges with organizing linens is the ability to just keep sheets and towels contained, not falling over or mix-matched, and ensuring that the correct size is pulled before realizing that the full-sized fitted sheet won't go over the second corner of the queen-sized mattress when trying to put it on the bed. Been there, done that.

After staring at the sheets in my closet and seeing some new products and different ways to organizing linens, I thought I'd share a few different options for linen storage. You can categorize and organize linens based on what works for you, whether it's by frequency, favorites, color, or material (e.g., cotton, silk, flannel), and there are plenty of storage options, types, construction, colors, sizes, and shapes out there to choose from based on your lifestyle, preference, and aesthetic.

Here are 4 linen storage products to hopefully help you the next time you change sheets (and save you from re-folding the wrong sheet set size that you accidentally pulled out 😉). Even if you don't love folding, these organizing products should be able to help you separate, contain, and label your matching sets for fuss-free change-outs!
