We are thrilled and honored to share that several of our wines & ciders won medals in the 2026 NC Wine Competition! We are SO proud of our cellar team! Mark, Chris, Emi, Finn, Kelsey... today, we cheers to you!! Full details below 👇

BOONE, N.C. — Mill Camp Wines & Ciders took home 13 awards at the 2026 N.C. Wine Competition, the state’s premier competition for commercially produced wine, cider and mead. North Carolina is home to more than 200 wineries and vineyards and ranks among the top 10 wine-producing states in the country. The competition was organized by the N.C. Wine & Grape Council (NC Wine & Grape Council) and the N.C. Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services.

Mill Camp’s Pommeau cider tied for the Cider Cup, the state’s top cider honor, splitting the title with Noble Cider of Asheville. Pommeau was also named Best Specialty Cider in the state, and earned a Double Gold medal — meaning it impressed judges enough to be a stand-out favorite across the board. Mill Camp’s Pommeau is made with 10 pounds of North Carolina apples in every 375ml bottle and comes in at 19.5% ABV, with tasting notes of ripe apple, caramel and vanilla.

Also a top performer, High Country Apple was named Best Modern Apple Cider (Sweet) in North Carolina and earned a separate Gold medal of its own. Made from a blend of winter apples and grown at 3,300 feet right here in Boone, High Country Apple has a clear, golden color and semi-sweet, crisp, refreshing character. It’s an easy-drinking session cider that lives up to its name as a true “”high country”” cider.

Join us at Mill Camp Wines & Ciders for a local market featuring handmade goods, artisan products, food vendors, community booths, and mountain views. Browse a rotating lineup of vendors offering flowers, jewelry, woodwork, fiber art, paintings, leather goods, honey, jams, hot sauces, goat cheese, pastries, lemonade, pastries, ice cream,vintage clothing, and more.

Watauga Humane Society will also be joining us with adoptable dogs and information on how to get involved! Plus, 10% of all bottle sales will be donated to this great local organization.

Enjoy our handcrafted wine and cider, mountain views, and a relaxed afternoon on Boone’s Back Porch while supporting local vendors and small businesses.

The Market will be open 1-4 PM and our Tasting Room 12–7 PM, so come early, stay after, and enjoy wine, cider, and mountain views before or after you shop.
