As we head into the the final month of summer and the early part of fall, these tend to be the warmest times of the year in the Pacific Northwest. Although rare, on occasion we see temperatures in the high 90s and even over 100 degrees. It is always a good idea to review and be mindful of the potential for employees to experience heat stress. The NIOSH National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has created a web page dedicated to addressing the issue of heat stress and heat related illness. For your reference:

Heat stress, from exertion or hot environments, places workers at risk for illnesses such as heat stroke, heat exhaustion, or heat cramps.
