We often say that leadership is measured by action—and today, we’re proud to recognize exactly that.

A sincere thank you to Adam Bass for stepping up in a major way for Louisiana businesses and workers.

Following a meeting hosted at Pelican Training & Consulting in early 2026—where Northwest Louisiana leaders came together to discuss the impact, opportunities, and challenges of the Incumbent Worker Training Program (IWTP)—Senator Bass didn’t just listen… he acted.

By authoring Senate Bill 383, which calls for the renewal of the IWTP and includes a $15 million increase in IWTP funding, he has demonstrated a clear commitment to strengthening our workforce, supporting business growth, and investing in the people who keep Louisiana moving forward.

This is what advocacy looks like.
This is what leadership looks like.

We elect individuals to represent our communities and champion what matters most—and Senator Bass has done exactly that. He followed through on his word and delivered meaningful action that has the potential to create lasting impact across our state.

Several days of dangerous freezing temperatures and icy conditions are headed our way. This kind of weather is rare for us and can be especially hazardous.

Please take extra precautions:
Avoid unnecessary travel
Watch for black ice on roads and bridges
Protect pets, plants, pipes, and people
Check on elderly neighbors and loved ones

Today’s IWTP Roundtable was an outstanding success, and we want to extend our sincere appreciation to our State, Parish, and City leaders for taking the time to join us in this critical conversation.

Together, we examined the impact of the Incumbent Worker Training Program (IWTP)—a program that has trained over 100,000 workers, generated more than $500 million in statewide economic benefits, and strengthened industries across sectors like manufacturing, gaming, hospitality, energy, and logistics.

Your engagement in this discussion—and your thoughtful, lively participation—demonstrated a shared commitment to protecting the future of Louisiana’s workforce.
