☀️Hello June
Summer invites a different rhythm, slower, more spacious, more present.
These pauses often create clarity around what families truly need.

💭 What does your family need more of this season — rest, structure, or freedom?

Calling all doulas, newborn care specialists, sleep consultants, nannies, parent coaches, postpartum professionals, lactation professionals, and those supporting modern families…

We are currently in the early planning stages of something I’m incredibly excited about — a two-day virtual professional conference this October through Modern Parenthood Institute for those supporting modern families.

And I want to build this intentionally.

Before speakers and topics are finalized, We'd genuinely love your input.

If you were attending a professional conference in this space…

✨ What topics would feel like a MUST for you?
✨ What conversations do you wish were happening more?
✨ What would make you think:

“I absolutely want to be in that room.”

Some topics already being explored include:

✨ Nervous system & child development
✨ Sleep, regulation & realistic expectations
✨ Ethics, scope & professional boundaries
✨ Infant development & early movement
✨ Postpartum realities & emotional wellbeing
✨ Business, sustainability & avoiding burnout in this work
✨ Collaboration between pediatric/clinical and in-home professionals
✨ Family dynamics, blended families, neurodiversity, feeding, behavior & more

No idea is too big, too niche, or too outside the box — We're listening 👇

Drop your thoughts below. I’d truly love to hear what would make this a conference you wouldn’t want to miss.

One of the greatest shifts happening in family support right now?

We are moving away from:
❌ “What is wrong with this child?”
And moving toward:
✅ “What might this child — or family — be communicating?”

Understanding nervous system regulation changes everything.

Why? Because behind resistance, tantrums, sleep struggles, overwhelm, or emotional reactivity… there is often a nervous system asking for support.

As parenting professionals, our role is not to “fix.”
It is to understand. Guide. Support. Hold space. Educate.
Families deserve professionals who see the whole picture.

Save this post for later if you work with families 🧡

The parenting industry is changing — and honestly, it needs to.

Modern families are navigating a world that looks very different than it did even ten years ago.

Overstimulation. Information overload. Mental load. Sleep deprivation. Emotional burnout. Relationship stress. Nervous system overwhelm.

Families are not simply looking for someone who “knows babies.”
They are looking for professionals who can hold space, understand child development, support emotional well-being, communicate thoughtfully, and meet families with compassion and confidence.

At Modern Parenthood Institute, we believe the future of family support is relationship-centered, evidence-informed, and deeply human.

Because modern families deserve more than quick fixes. They deserve thoughtful support.

🧡 If you are in this field — or feeling called to it — what do you think modern families need most right now?

One of the biggest misconceptions about working with families is that support has to come from having all the answers.

In reality, some of the most impactful support comes from understanding how to help families feel more clear, more steady, and more confident in what they are already navigating.

This is the foundation of the work we teach inside Modern Parenthood Institute.

Through our Integrative Parent Coach and Pediatric Sleep Practitioner programs, we focus on helping students develop a deeper understanding of:

🧡family dynamics
🧡behavior and regulation
🧡sleep and daily rhythms
🧡communication and practical support strategies

Not through rigid scripts or one-size-fits-all methods,
but through education that helps you think critically, observe clearly, and support families in a way that feels grounded and applicable in real life.

If you’ve been feeling pulled toward meaningful work in this field, this may be a good time to explore it further.

Through May 15, we’re offering 30% off both programs using the code:
SPRING30

Whether you’re looking to begin a new path or deepen the work you’re already doing, we’d love to welcome you inside MPI.

Feel free to reach out with questions or message us for program details.

Some of the most valuable lessons families learn come from the hard days.
These moments shape not only how we parent, but how we support others.

What has parenting (or working with families) taught you recently?

Your child isn't giving you a hard time. They're having a hard time.

When a child suddenly can't follow a simple instruction, won't stop moving, or melts down over something that seemed minor, it's easy to assume defiance. But what you're often seeing is a nervous system that has simply taken in more than it can process.

Overstimulation is real, and it shows up in three very specific ways:
🧡 Increased movement or restlessness
🧡 Difficulty following simple directions
🧡 Escalating reactions to small requests

Here's what most parents don't know: correction in these moments almost always makes it worse. The nervous system isn't ready to receive more input. It needs less.
Less noise. Simpler language. More space.

When you shift from "why won't they listen" to "what does my child need right now," everything changes. That's not permissive parenting. That's informed parenting, and it's exactly what we teach inside Modern Parenthood Institute.

Save this post for the next time the moment feels too big, because now you'll know what's actually happening.

Consistency in parenting is often misunderstood.

It’s not always doing the same thing every time.

It’s approaching situations from the same understanding.

A child may need connection one day and structure the next.

That isn’t inconsistency.
That’s responsiveness.

The consistency is in how you interpret the moment.

That shift changes everything.
