Kind Bud and Dro are the oldest i can remember. We used to call things “piff” and “exotic” before strain specifics became popular. Back then it was really all about nose and bag appeal. When household names like Blue Dream & GDP became widespread it really started teaching people how to identify a specific strain based on terps and appearance. Personally (i know) and i feel like a lot of that “sour diesel” you remember, was actually just some stinky kush. If you ever grew sour diesel you really got to know the terps for real & know what im saying.
And then when the kush/platinums came around it ruined everything, dont even get me started———i could go on for days
