Episode 205 drops today with my friend Nausheen I. Chen! 💜

3 things you will learn from this episode:

1️⃣ Why most people sound nervous on camera (and it's not what you think)
The fix isn't practice. It's understanding the one thing your body is doing wrong.

2️⃣ How to speak so investors actually write the check Nausheen's clients have raised $115M+ through pitches. She knows exactly what moves the room.

3️⃣ What separates a forgettable speaker from one who commands a room?
It's a skill. It's learnable. And Nausheen has trained everyone from Google to NASA to prove it.

🥣 A 3-time TEDx speaker who turned a Fulbright scholarship and a Fortune 100 career into a global coaching practice
🥣 A Fortune 100 communications leader turned coach who has trained everyone from Google and NASA to the UN to speak with presence and power
🥣 A LinkedIn Learning instructor with 600,000+ followers across LinkedIn and Instagram who is on a mission to make fearless communicators out of the most camera-shy leaders on the planet

You get Nausheen I. Chen, public speaking coach and today's guest on Heartbeat for Hire.

She doesn't just teach people how to speak. She teaches them how to be heard.

Enjoy this one, it's excellent!

4 awards. One mission. Zero plans to stop.

Yes, you read that right. WE WON. 🎙️

Heartbeat for Hire just took home the Best Business Podcast from the Women Podcasters Network Award for the second time, and I cannot hold this in.

You did this. You voted, you shared, and you cheered me on with so much heart it makes me tear up with joy.
I mean that- every single one of you.

To every guest who trusted me with their story.
To every listener who felt seen inside an episode.
To every person who passed this show along to someone who needed it.
This is yours too.

4 awards.
Built on one belief: that great leadership changes everything, and that too few people have ever truly experienced it.

The mic stays hot. The work continues. And I am just getting started.

P.S. This picture shows me I really need to clean my camera lens lol.
P.P.S. Big congratulations to my friend Betsy Hamm for winning her category too!!

This is the face of a traveler who has been stuck in SFO since 9:15 this morning. Flight was supposed to leave at 10:30am. They had to change a tire and instead of recognizing that they couldn’t handle the mechanical issues they made the entire flight wait until 5:15pm tonight to fly out.

I for one I’m not sitting around for that so I rebooked on another airline.

Poor performance your poor gate agents (who were lovely- shout out to Piper) did their best, but they were given no information to work with and an entire plane who was panicked trying to figure out how to get to their final destination. Do better.

Episode 198 drops today with the incredible Erika Sinner

3 things you will learn from this episode:

1️⃣ Empathy isn't soft — it's your sharpest business tool. Erika breaks down how leading with heart built a multi eight-figure company and why the most successful leaders she knows have stopped apologizing for it.

2️⃣ You don't have to choose between high performance and making a difference. Erika's dual role as a CEO of Directorie and Chief Empathy Officer of TinySuperheroes proves that impact and excellence don't cancel each other out — they fuel each other.

3️⃣ The people and beings you love most deserve a seat at the table — even at work.

From pet bereavement policies to empowering chronically ill children through TinySuperheroes, Erika is redefining what it means to build a company with a soul.

What do you get when you combine...
🥣A multi eight-figure founder who built one of the world's fastest-growing life science agencies

🥣A company that has helped bring life-saving medications to market — impacting over 100 million lives

🥣A two-time Inc. 5000 honoree and 2025 Entreprenista of the Year

🥣A bestselling author who wrote Pets Are Family and is fighting to make pet bereavement leave a workplace standard

🥣The Chief Empathy Officer of TinySuperheroes — on a mission to put superhero capes on 5 million chronically ill children around the world

🥣And a leader who has made it her life's work to prove that empathy isn't a weakness — it's the whole strategy

You get Erika Sinner — a woman who measures success not just in revenue, but in lives changed, children empowered, and a world that looks a little more human because she showed up in it.
