It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news that Weston Higginbotham, the missing student, has been found deceased in Japan.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the student's family, friends, classmates, and all those affected by this tragic loss. During this incredibly difficult time, we ask that everyone respect the family's privacy as they grieve and process this unimaginable tragedy.

Urgent Update: 20-Year-Old American Tourist Missing in Kyoto, Japan

A 20-year-old American tourist, Higginbotham James West, has gone missing while traveling with his family in Kyoto. Police are searching for him and asking the public for any information that may help bring him home safely.

He was last seen on May 29, 2026, wearing a white “Save the Bees” T-shirt and light purple pants.

Anyone with information is requested to contact the authorities.
