NANCE is one of the guiding principles of Caldwell Interior Design. Ansley’s design journey began while studying at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Georgia. Progressing from the days of Art and her Southern roots, her desire to design unique spaces took her to Texas Tech University where she received her Master in Architecture and Interior Design. She moved to Vicenza, Italy in the summer of 2001 to achieve a broader understanding of the methods by which people inherently enjoy spaces and the places that mean the most to them. After documenting and studying environments all throughout Italy, she moved to the Texas Hill Country, raw materials with a bit of modern flair. Ansley continued to grow her understanding of design in the modern highway of Manhattan. A place she calls home. Her home has southern charm. It is a mixture of old and new to create a warm environment through materials and space, her provenance. Each client lives with a unique character and personality. Design of their interiors should be created to encompass the environment that portrays who they are today and who they strive to be in the future. The design of their environment begins in their place of origin, or Provenance. A sampling of Ansley’s work includes a 4,000 sqft residence in Atlanta, GA, 2,000 sqft residence in Highland Park (Dallas), TX, a 2500sqft residence in Stamford, CT. Along with residential work, she has designed and managed multiple commercial projects, including the Lobby on Huntington Ave (Boston), 5,000 sqft Corporate Café (Cambridge), Hospitality Lounges for Global Airline (Various Cities), and 12,000sqft Fitness Center (Brighton).*
She resides just south of Boston with her fiancé Kevin Thoma, a culinary arts professor.
