One of the biggest mistakes I see people making in network marketing? 👀

Making their entire social media presence about their business.

Listen, I LOVE network marketing. I’ve been in this industry for 10 years, and I’m not going anywhere.

But there’s a whole lot more to me than the company I’m partnered with. 😂

Fitness, jiu-jitsu, my family, random adventures, and all the other things that make me ME.

And here’s what I’ve learned…

Some of the best conversations and connections I’ve made online started with things that had absolutely NOTHING to do with network marketing.

You don’t need to turn every post into a sales pitch or every conversation into a recruiting opportunity.

People want to connect with real people. People they have things in common with. People they actually enjoy following.

Your business is part of your life. It doesn’t need to be your entire identity.

And when you learn how to build genuine connections while still being intentional about growing your business, social media becomes a whole lot more enjoyable.

Here’s something I’ll always love about network marketing. ❤️

It gives ordinary people an opportunity to do something extraordinary.

You don’t need a business degree.
You don’t need years of experience.
You don’t need a massive following.
You don’t even need to know what the hell you’re doing when you start. 😂

You just need to be willing to learn.

I’ve been in this industry for 10 years, and I’ve seen people from all walks of life develop skills, find confidence, build incredible friendships, and create something they’re genuinely proud of.

And no, it’s not always easy. Not everyone succeeds. There are frustrations, setbacks, and plenty of lessons along the way.

But I love that someone can start with very little experience and develop skills that can serve them for the rest of their life.

Communication. Leadership. Sales. Marketing. Personal development. Entrepreneurship.

Even if someone never builds a massive business, those skills still matter.

That’s something I’ll never stop appreciating about this industry.

I almost didn't share this because it felt too simple to be true. 😳

One of my teammates posted for the first time ever. No pitch. No "comment to buy." Just her real story — a personal health win, a hobby she'd fallen back in love with, and a product her family uses daily. 💪

Within hours, two people slid into her DMs asking what she was using. 👀📲

Her first post. Day one. ✨

Here's the part I really want to talk about though — procrastination. Because I think it's so misunderstood in this industry. 😔

If you've been putting off your next post, your next DM, your next anything… it's probably not because you're lazy or your "why" isn't big enough. It's because some part of you doesn't actually believe the thing you're about to do is going to work. And honestly? That instinct is usually right.

It’s to become visible to the people already looking for what you have.

I had a conversation yesterday with a woman in network marketing who was frustrated because she’s spent money on different companies and services promising to bring her leads… and none of it has really worked.

And I hear this ALL the time.

I completely understand the appeal of paying someone to just send you leads. When you’re struggling to find people, it sounds like the easiest solution.

But there are two BIG problems.

First, a lead isn’t necessarily a qualified lead.

Someone being interested in network marketing doesn’t mean they’re interested in YOU, your products, your company, your niche or the kind of team you’re building.

But the bigger problem?

It’s not duplicatable.

Let’s say it DOES work and you enroll someone.

Now what do you teach them?

“Go pay this company hundreds or thousands of dollars so they can find people for you too”?

That’s not a system most people can or want to duplicate.

Learning how to market yourself, create content, attract the right people, start conversations and follow up?

THOSE are skills you can teach.

And that’s one of the biggest things attraction marketing changed for me.

It wasn’t just about getting more leads. It was learning skills I could actually use, repeat, improve and eventually teach someone else.

Network marketing has an incredibly low barrier to entry, but that doesn’t mean there’s no skill required.

Treat it like any other profession or business.

Learn the skills instead of constantly paying for the shortcut.

Because the best investment isn’t something that does the work FOR you.

It’s something that teaches you how to do the work yourself… and eventually teach someone else to do it too.

If you’re ready to quit network marketing, I’m not going to tell you to revisit your why, make a vision board, or magically find your motivation again.

I’m going to ask you to make your business smaller for a little while.

Can you give it 10 minutes a day, 5 days a week, for the next 30–60 days?

That’s it.

Maybe you make one new connection.
Maybe you follow up with someone.
Maybe you create one intentional post.
Maybe you hop on your stories and talk about a product you actually use.
Maybe you send one message about the business.

You don’t need to do ALL of it.

Pick an action. Use your 10 minutes. Stay consistent.

Because sometimes the answer isn’t quitting. Sometimes the answer is making the business fit the season of life you’re in.

I’ve watched people completely walk away out of frustration. Some are perfectly happy with that decision. Others kick themselves later because they realize they didn’t necessarily need to quit… they just needed to stop putting so much pressure on themselves.

The work you do today doesn’t always pay you today.

You don’t know who you’ll meet next month. You don’t know who might become a customer six months from now. You don’t know who could eventually join your business and completely change its trajectory.

And maybe an extra $300 or $400 a month doesn’t feel life-changing right now. Maybe it does. Either way, life changes. Circumstances change. Having another stream of income because you kept one foot in the door can become a pretty valuable thing.

So before you close the door completely, try 10 intentional minutes.

Not rebuilding your entire business.

Not doing ALL THE THINGS.

Just keeping one foot in the door.

Most of us didn't fail at content. We failed at a method nobody taught us.
