I did every single one of these for years.

Warm market 100 person lists. Product posts. Hoping the algorithm would eventually notice me.

It’s exhausting. And it keeps most NM leaders stuck for years.

For 7 years I built my Arbonne business almost entirely in person.

And when I did post — it was only when something big happened.

A rank advance. A big win. A team milestone.

I thought that was enough.

It wasn’t.

Nobody knew what I did day to day.

Nobody knew how I built. Nobody knew how to find me.

I was invisible online and I didn’t even realize it.

Three years ago I made one shift.

One of the most dangerous thoughts in the network marketing business is:

“Nobody’s going to notice if I skip today.”

No one responded to your messages.
Your post didn’t get much engagement.
No orders came in.
No new customers appeared.

So what’s the point?

The problem is that quitting rarely looks like quitting.

It looks like skipping one day.

Then one day becomes one week.

One week becomes one month.

And before you know it, the business you wanted to build is gone.

The people who succeed aren’t always the most talented.

They’re the ones who keep showing up when there is no evidence it’s working yet.

Because consistency isn’t proven during the good weeks.

It’s proven during the weeks when you’re wondering if anyone would even notice if you stopped.

Keep posting.
Keep following up.
Keep having conversations.

The consistency is the win.

The results usually show up long after most people would have quit.

1️⃣ Stop posting graphic-only product photos.

People don’t need a catalog, they need a connection.

Why should they buy from you? What’s your story? What’s your testimonial? How has the product impacted your life?

The only time I recommend posting a product graphic is for quick information, and even then, very infrequently. A better approach is posting the product and then hopping on your Stories to talk about it personally.

Especially when you’re new and trying to build a following, if your feed looks like an infomercial, people will tune out.

2️⃣ Put hooks on your content.

Add text to your photos and reels. You have about 3–5 seconds to grab someone’s attention.

If people can’t immediately tell what you’re talking about and why they should care, they’re scrolling right past it—no matter how good the content is.

One of the biggest mistakes people make when they hear "it's too expensive" is assuming it's really about the money.

Most of the time, it's about certainty.

People spend money every single day on things they believe will help them solve a problem, save time, feel better, look better, or get a result they want. The question isn't always, "Can I afford it?" It's often, "Will this actually work for me?"

That's why testimonials are so powerful.

A great testimonial removes doubt. It shows real people getting real results. It helps prospects see themselves in someone else's story and gives them confidence that the investment could be worth it.

When someone objects to the price, don't immediately discount your product or opportunity. Instead, increase their belief.

Show them the proof.
Share the stories.
Highlight the transformations.

Because when people truly believe something can help them, they'll find a way to make it happen.

One testimonial can often do what a 30-minute sales pitch can't.

This was the beginning of really building my business…

My upline had to show up to basically everything I did because I had NO idea what I was doing 😂

She would help answer questions, talk on presentations with me, and guide me through conversations because I was still learning everything myself.

I wasn’t confident.I wasn’t polished.I definitely wasn’t “good on camera.”

Half the time I was reading from scripts or checking the back of product bags because I couldn’t remember ingredients yet 😅

And now people say to me,“Melinda, I could never show up online like you do.”

But here’s the thing…

You’re not supposed to show up like me.You’re supposed to show up like YOU.

And you definitely are not supposed to compare your day 1 to my year 10.

Confidence is built.Communication is built.Leadership is built.

None of this started naturally for me.

What changed everything was consistency. Showing up before I felt ready. Getting uncomfortable over and over again until it became normal.

And honestly?Your beginning is probably MORE relatable to people than where I am now.

People connect to authenticity far more than perfection.

Leadership is being willing to show up messy while you figure it out.

So if you’ve been holding yourself back because you think you can’t “do it like someone else”… good.

Don’t do it like someone else.

Do it like YOU.
