We may be a day late, but our work never stops!

Every day, Central Boston Elder Services is helping older adults and people with disabilities live safely, independently, and connected to their communities.

Shoutout to our staff, partners, volunteers, and supporters who make it all possible. Happy (belated) National Nonprofit Day!

{Late Post}
A special thank you to Senator William Brownsberger’s Office for recognizing two of our wonderful computer class instructors, Nina and Rosemary, with citations for their kindness, dedication, and commitment to helping older adults build their digital skills. 💙

Central Boston Elder Services , our computer and iPad classes are about much more than learning how to use technology. Participants gain practical skills that help them stay connected with family and friends, communicate through email, navigate the internet, recognize and avoid online scams, and feel more confident in an increasingly digital world.

We’re grateful to Will Brownsberger Office for recognizing Nina and Rosemary and the important work happening in our Digital Equity program. Congratulations to them both on this well-deserved recognition!

What a wonderful morning at Central Boston Elder Services

Thank you to Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley for spending the morning with our older adults, listening to their stories, hearing their concerns, and taking the time to greet and take photos with everyone. Your visit meant so much to our community, and we truly appreciate your willingness to listen and connect.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning so special. We were also grateful to welcome our friends and partners from Age Strong Boston , the Massachusetts Executive Office of Aging & Independence, Mystic Valley Elder Services Lisa Gurgone , Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services, and ETHOS .

A special thank you to Snapped Boston LLC for capturing these memorable moments.

At CBES, we believe every older adult deserves to be heard, and today was a wonderful example of what happens when community, partnership, and conversation come together.

This morning, Central Boston Elder Services officially launched the 2026 Care Unites Us campaign with our Fueling Possibilities Breakfast.

Our breakfast brought together community leaders, partners, supporters, and friends who all share one goal: building a community where older adults can live with dignity, independence, and the support they deserve.

Some of the most memorable moments weren’t the campaign announcements. They were the stories.

Thank you to Erin Murphy , Liz Miranda MA State Senator Liz Miranda , and Denella Clark for sharing such personal reflections about caring for your families and the experiences that continue to inspire your advocacy for older adults and caregivers. Your honesty reminded us that this work is deeply personal and touches every one of us.

A special thank you to Nelson Reyneri, who joined us via Zoom, for encouraging us to think boldly about creating possibilities and building stronger partnerships for the future.

We’re also grateful to Rev. Miniard Culpepper for opening the morning in reflection, to Sylvia L. Exantus and Royal Bolling Jr. for sharing their vision for the year ahead, and to our incredible Care Unites Us Host Committee for helping make this kickoff possible.

A special thank you to State Representative Chynah Tyler for her continued support of our work and for having her office represented at this morning’s kickoff breakfast.

To everyone who joined us this morning, thank you. Your support, your generosity, and your belief in our mission continue to move this work forward.
