Coming to a backyard compost pile near you: TPSea Flex™ 1.0 is officially certified *home compostable* by 🍃🌞🐛

If you’ve been following along, you’ve seen Sway packaging evolve from “certification pending” to industrial compost certified. Now, home compost certification is finally here!

We love that home compost is accessible to all, circular by nature, and a process you can watch happen before your eyes. Learn how to set up your own bin (countertop, backyard, freezer, or otherwise) in our Compost 101 highlight 🌱

To the man who has spent a lifetime making sure we never take this planet for granted. Today, the extraordinary Sir David Attenborough celebrates 100 trips around the sun 🌞🎂

For over seven decades, has taken us to the far edges of the Earth to introduce us to the myriad of species that call our planet home. A gifted storyteller and passionate environmental advocate, he helps us see the wonder of all organisms, from the corals of the Great Barrier Reef to the emperor penguins of Antarctica.

Though he’s enjoying his days off social media, join us in wishing Sir David a very happy centennial! A true international treasure. Thank you for reminding us how precious this planet is and that “a sustainable future will mean a better world for all of us” 🌍🍃

What the heck are endocrine disruptors? Where are they found? How do we avoid them?

Endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) are pervasive in conventional plastics. They can mimic, block, and alter our natural hormone function. Hormones are the chemical messengers that direct everything from sleep and growth, hunger and thirst, fertility and pregnancy, stress response, and much more — when they are disrupted, so is our whole system.

Now on , by explores the link between these plastic chemicals and infertility, and growing evidence suggests they may also increase the risk of certain cancers, autoimmune diseases, and beyond.

Dive deeper with the comprehensive guide put together by : + , linked in our bio.

Have you seen The Plastic Detox on yet? 🫧

This doc by follows 6 couples on their journey to start families, uncovering how the plastics woven into our everyday lives may play a role in fertility issues (backed up by science from the incredible ).

While this story certainly doesn’t shy away from the alarming reality of chemicals, plastics, and their effects on human health, it’s deeply rooted in hope. You’ll even catch a section on biomaterial innovators — including Sway! — who offer everyday materials without “everywhere chemicals” PFAS, phthalates, and bisphenols.

Yes, there’s a lot to be concerned about. At the same time, we are in the midst of a material revolution. As .tv puts it: “This is the biggest and the most exciting challenge we humans ever had. Redesigning, recreating, and redefining the foundation of our society, and how things are being made.”
