What if the life you’re complaining about today contains something you once prayed for?

The job.
The busy schedule.
The body that still moves.
The people who still call.
The opportunity that now feels like an obligation.

We spend so much time chasing WHAT’S NEXT that we forget to notice WHAT’S NOW.

Perspective doesn’t mean life isn’t hard.

It means remembering that life is still a gift.

After years of studying gratitude, I keep coming back to this:

Gratitude doesn’t make us less ambitious. It reminds us what all that ambition is for.

How much time do we really have? ⏳

I’ve spent more than a decade in wellness + longevity trying to understand how we can live longer.

But lately, I’ve been asking a different question:

Are we actually LIVING the life we have?

Stop saving everything for later.
Stop explaining every decision.
Stop maintaining what you’ve outgrown.
Stop waiting until you feel “ready.”
Stop attaching happiness to the next thing.

The trip.
The idea.
The conversation.
The dream.
The version of YOU that’s been waiting.

Maybe “someday” has had enough of our time.

Because the goal isn’t just to add years to our lives.

It’s to add LIFE to our years. 🙏🏽

What if putting yourself first isn’t selfish? 👀

Lately, I’ve been quieter.
Less social.
More protective of my time.
More comfortable saying no.

And strangely… happier.

After a lifetime of serving, connecting, giving, and asking everyone else:

“What do you need?”

Maybe I’m finally learning to ask myself the same question.

What do I need?

ME first.

Not me only.
Not me at the expense of everyone else.

Just me, too. 🙏🏽

Maybe I’m finding myself.

Maybe I’m becoming a hermit. 😂

Your NETwork might be worth more than your NET WORTH. 👀

And the older I get, the more I believe it.

Because some of the greatest wealth I’ve accumulated can’t be found in a bank account.

It’s the people.

The friendships.
The conversations.
The introductions.
The tables where strangers became friends.
The random “You two NEED to know each other” moments that turned into something bigger.

And maybe there’s a reason I’ve always been wired this way. 🇵🇭

KAPWA. We belong to one another.

BAYANIHAN. We carry one another.

Two Filipino concepts that I don’t just believe in. I live and breathe them. It’s in my DNA.

It’s also why I tell every new business owner:

BUDGET FOR COMMUNITY.

People might show up because of what you sell.

But they come back because of how they FEEL when they’re there.

Maya Angelou said it better than any of us ever could:

“People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

Maybe the richest person in the room isn’t the one with the highest net worth.

Maybe it’s the person who helped everyone in the room find each other. ❤️

Philly cheesesteak..:in Leesburg, Virginia?! 👀

Okay, I had to see what the hype was about.

SOKO Butcher Shop & Market only opened about two months ago, and this Philly cheesesteak has already been making the rounds, so naturally I had to investigate.😏

First bite?

Yeah…I get it.

Hot, cheesy, messy, ridiculously satisfying, and exactly the kind of meal that makes you stop talking for a second because your brain is too busy processing the deliciousness.

Would a Philly native approve?

I’ll let y’all fight that out in the comments.😂

But from where I was sitting, this was absolutely worth the trip.

There are places that ask you to fit in.

And then there are places that remind you who you are.

This weekend, I thought I was shopping for sneakers.

Turns out, I was searching for a version of myself that hadn’t had much room to breathe.

It’s funny how a pair of shoes (or 3!) can make you realize you’ve been craving something much deeper…

Not more stuff.

More self-expression.

Maybe that’s why I keep coming back to Mindvalley University every year.

Not just because of the conversations.

Not just because of the friendships.

But because it’s one of the few places where I never feel like I have to shrink parts of myself.

No judgment.

No labels.

Just appreciation.

I’ve been thinking a lot about this, and I turned that reflection into this week’s Substack ✍️

My favorite photo from this year’s Mindvalley University

What I love about it is that it doesn’t show the big gesture.

It shows the moment in between.

The breath before the next sentence.
The pause before the next story.
The reminder that presence can be just as powerful as performance.

Over the years, I’ve been known for bringing energy to the stage.

But the older I get, the more I understand that real energy isn’t always about volume.

Sometimes it’s calm.
Sometimes it’s grounded.
Sometimes it’s simply being fully there.

That’s what this photo feels like to me.

A little less proving.
A little more being.

And maybe that’s the evolution.

Grateful for another year of learning, sharing, connecting, and bringing my own little bit of sazón to the Mindvalley.events stage. 💜

Every year someone asks me…

“You’re going back to Mindvalley University… again?”

For years, I thought the answer was easy.

The learning.
The speaking.
The hosting.
The dancing.
The friendships.

This year reminded me that those are all part of the story…

But not the whole story.

The greatest thing I’ve ever taken home from this community isn’t another notebook full of ideas.

It’s the feeling of BELONGING.

It’s finding people who celebrate your growth, challenge your thinking, remind you of your gifts, and somehow make you believe a little more is possible.

This is Reflection #1 from my week at 2026 💜

Over the next week or two, I’ll be sharing more stories, more photos, more lessons, and a few moments that I’ll probably never forget.

I MISS THIS.🥺

The true feeling of belonging. Knowing that you’re supported by the collective. Being in a city that is not only beautiful (castles and cobblestone streets), but walkable, with many hidden places that perk a sense of adventure and mystery for those that seek it.

Mindvalley UNIVERSITY is back in Tallinn, Estonia 🇪🇪 and I, for one, am SUPER EXCITED to be back “on campus”.

Forever grateful to Vishen and his team for bringing LEARNINGS, EXPERIENCES, and especially MAGIC year in and year out. Honored to watch this “school” grow from an experiment to an establishment.💜

Can’t wait to reconnect with my people and create connections with new ones.
