How to calibrate a system sensor beam smoke. Take a journey into my personal life with an exclusive bonus clip. 😂😂

I saw a comment somewhere that said you can’t test a duct smoke from the sampling tube. That’s what the smoke was designed for! Here’s a great example of it.

I cannot stress enough the importance of getting an analog meter. It will make chasing ground faults easier than a quarterly test. I recommend a higher end one like a Simpson, it’ll run you about 500 bucks new but even the cheap ones operate way smoother than a digital meter. You can see the needle move the instant it changes. The digital meters, even the good ones, take a split second and sometimes that’s too long.

Anyone else having issues with old FSP-851 smokes going bad in batches? We have 2 separate properties with multi node notifier 3030 systems that have recently been experiencing several false alarms a week, sometimes multiple smokes a day all on different nodes. I ran through the sensitivity report and nothing is spiked up. When we replace the smokes with 951’s they’re fine but then the next day 3 more will randomly go into alarm. Im starting to think it’s noise on the loop but it is happening at 2 different properties. Weird situation.

Life update: I was promoted to assistant manager today 😁

It’s been quiet on my channel lately, I’ve been working on a few large scale projects and haven’t had much time to record. I’d love to bring y’all along on the big projects but it becomes cumbersome to record and work to that degree. The battery doesn’t last long enough 😆. Those projects have all been wrapped up and I am back into the swing of things! Stay tuned for some more content 👀
