Our founder, Chris Raulf, searched his own name in an incognito window to see what Google actually returns.

His about.me page came in ahead of his Instagram and his YouTube channel.

That page is free. It took minutes to build. And Google Search Console confirms Google is crawling and recording the links pointing out of it.

For a local service business with no website yet, that changes the order of operations.

→ You do not need a site live before you have something Google can find, index, and rank
→ about.me recently opened up multiple call to action buttons, where there used to be only one
→ Every button can carry a link to a service page, a booking form, or a newsletter signup
→ Search Console shows Google recording those links, so they are not sitting there invisible
→ Your own branded search results are real estate you can influence for free, this week

Most owners think a web presence starts with building a website. It starts with whether Google can find anything about you that you actually control.

Producing more content with AI is not the hard part anymore. Anyone can do that.

Deciding what is worth producing and building something that repeats it is where teams actually lose.

On October 7, 2026, our team takes that apart on a live stream, in public, with Q&A.
→ Simon Golding on the strategy call: what to create so you earn citations instead of adding volume the engines ignore
→ Daniel Burns on turning that call into a documented system, the difference between one good month and an operation that delivers every month
→ Harold De Guzman opening up microSEO.ai, the platform he architected, demonstrated live
→ Bogdan Babiak of SE Ranking and Shawn Davis of Duda on original research, including crawler data from 858,000 sites

Education first. Take the manual method and run it yourself, or watch how we systematized it.

The AI SEO & GEO Online Summit, Wednesday, October 7, 2026, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Mountain. Free, live on YouTube, hosted by our founder, Chris Raulf.

Most agencies describe their process. We would rather show ours and take questions about it.

Fake reviews can knock a local rating down fast. The good news? They can come down just as fast.

One of our local clients watched 20+ fake one-star reviews pull their Google Business Profile from five stars to two.

Here's how our senior E-E-A-T engineer, Fhul Gerald Asoy, got every one removed and rebuilt the rating.
→ Google won't remove a review for being negative. Only for breaking a named policy. That single distinction decides whether you win or get ignored.
→ Audit first. Every fake review tagged as spam or harassment and matched to the exact rule it broke.
→ Report through the official channels, then track each report inside the review management tool.
→ Escalate the holdouts with evidence: the screenshots, the signed contract, the extortion messages, compiled into one PDF.
→ The 2026 stakes: AI search reads your reviews too, so a damaged rating can drop you off the AI short list entirely.

A star rating stopped being a reputation score a while ago. It's a ranking signal, and now an AI-visibility signal. Guarding it is guarding whether the customer ever finds you at all.

A Denver EdTech SaaS had a product schools genuinely loved. Almost nobody could find it.

Growth was capped by word-of-mouth, and the platform was invisible in AI search right as buyers started using ChatGPT to shortlist software.

Boulder SEO Marketing rebuilt the organic foundation with our proprietary AI SEO and GEO methodology: long-tail keywords educators actually search, one founder-voiced post a month instead of publishing volume, and the structure, schema, and E-E-A-T signals that make AI tools willing to cite a brand.

Three months in:
→ Contact form submissions up 401.3% year over year, to 772
→ Organic clicks up 1,130% to 25.1K, with CTR reaching 30% and average position moving from 9.5 to 6
→ 146 events and 27 key events referred straight from ChatGPT

That last line is the one worth sitting with. Ranking in Google is table stakes now. Getting named inside an AI answer is what puts you on the shortlist before a buyer ever opens a browser tab, and that only happens when the trust signals underneath the content are real.

If a strong product is stuck behind weak discoverability, the trajectory is fixable.

A franchise business came to us with 21 locations and a $10,000 budget. Done properly, that engagement is a $20,000 to $40,000 a month project.

We did not tell them it was impossible. We told them the model was wrong.

Our founder, Chris Raulf, breaks down what changed in this week's tip.

→ The per-location pricing model was built for an era when SEO meant on-page work and links. It does not describe what a multi-location strategy actually requires now.
→ Split the work into three buckets: agency, developer, and internal team, and the same footprint stops being a $20,000 problem.
→ A registered DBA lets you legitimately put location keywords in a Google Business Profile name. Our Fort Collins office is registered as BSM, a Fort Collins SEO Company.
→ Nobody asks an assistant a two-word query. They describe their whole situation in a paragraph, which means pages built for short keywords answer the wrong question.
→ Ten platforms feed the models that recommend local businesses. Ten platforms across 20 locations is 200 pieces of content per campaign, which is exactly why most franchises do none of it.

Your locations are not invisible because you are too small.

They are invisible because nobody has told the models the same story twice.

Months of SEO reports showing no real movement? It's a common frustration, but it doesn't have to be your reality. True organic visibility demands a level of expertise and direct engagement that most agencies simply don't provide.

At Boulder SEO Marketing, we offer a different path. Our founder, Chris Raulf, brings nearly **30 years** of experience in search, predating Google itself, and is currently ranked the #1 AI SEO expert across Google and leading LLMs. This deep, historical insight, combined with direct involvement from Chris and Daniel Burns on every engagement, means you get the straight version and a strategy built on validated expertise, not junior account managers.

We've evolved into an AI agency that does SEO, pioneering Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). This isn't just theory; it's proven in practice. Today, **30 to 40 percent** of our inbound leads come directly from large language models like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity. We apply these same principles to our clients' strategies, ensuring your content is optimized for both traditional search engines and the future of AI answer engines.

Our proprietary *Micro SEO Strategies℠* methodology is designed for efficient gains, focusing on moving pages already ranking in positions **11-30** to page **1** where they generate real impact. One of our LinkedIn pages is sitting on page one of Google for a search local businesses fight hard to win. We have not posted on it since March.

Four months of silence, and it is still getting found.

Our marketing manager, Jonn Chua, went digging into why, and it flips the usual "post every day" advice on its head.

→ It is a LinkedIn showcase page, a focused subpage built around one thing: Denver SEO
→ Its dashboard showed zero impressions (no posts) but climbing search appearances, so posting was never what got it found
→ It ranks because LinkedIn is a site Google has trusted for decades, and a well built page borrows a slice of that trust
→ Three fields do the heavy lifting: the page name leads with what you do and where, the tagline and about start with those same search words, and every profile field is filled out
→ Google's own ranking guidance says it weighs relevance, location, and trust. This page checks all three
→ The real move is not daily posts. It is publishing one solid article, because Google files LinkedIn articles like blog posts and gives each its own web address

You do not need to feed the feed every day. You need to be set up right, and then show up when it counts.

When someone asks ChatGPT or Claude for the best plumber, electrician, or real estate agent in your city, does your business show up in the answer? Or does the AI hand that lead straight to your competitor?

That question is at the heart of this week's Friday SEO Tip. Chris sat down with Brett Farmiloe, founder and CEO of Featured, to unpack why earned media has quietly become one of the most reliable ways to get your local business cited in AI search.

Not backlinks.
Not paid ads.

Getting quoted as a real human expert.

Here is what stood out:
→ AI assistants increasingly recommend businesses based on earned media, the expert quotes and mentions that live across the web
→ Every local owner is an expert at something a journalist actually wants to quote, and that hyperlocal knowledge is in real demand
→ Modern PR workflows cut the monitoring time by up to 95 percent, so this fits into about 15 minutes a day
→ Experience is the one E-E-A-T signal AI cannot fake, which is exactly why a real human quote carries weight with journalists and crawlers
→ Be selective, not spray-and-pray: fewer, sharper responses beat a flood of generic pitches every time

Up to half of the leads we talk to now say they found us through an AI assistant. Earned media is a big reason why, and it is finally practical for a busy local operator.

AI crawlers hit websites 68 million times in a single month. Whether they visit your site or skip right over it now predicts how much traffic, how many leads, and how many calls you get.

Our founder Chris Raulf breaks down a new Duda study of nearly 860,000 websites on what actually drives AI search visibility.

→ Sites AI crawlers visit generate 3.2x more traffic, 2.7x more form fills, and 2.5x more calls than sites they skip
→ This was never AI versus humans: optimizing for the machines makes your phone ring more
→ Google Business Profile sync was the single biggest driver, at a 92.8% crawl rate
→ It is not one feature, it is the stack: four or more features meant 16x more crawler visits
→ The highest-leverage, lowest-effort move is to connect your Google Business Profile and add local schema

The full breakdown, and what it means for local businesses, is in this week's tip.
