Each year, Global Heart Hub's Cardiomyopathy Patient Network, an alliance of cardiomyopathy patient organizations from around the globe, launches an annual Cardiomyopathy Awareness Month campaign. This year's theme was "Think Cardiomyopathy: Know Your Heart History."

Edgewise was proud to support this campaign highlighting the importance of cardiomyopathy awareness and knowing your family heart history. A range of educational tools including videos, infographics, and fact sheets were developed and translated into more than a dozen languages to engage worldwide patient communities.

At our Edgewise employee retreat, we had the privilege of hearing from Hannah Keime and Bethany Keime, the incredible duo behind heartcharged. The sisters carry a long family history of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) that went overlooked for years, until an aunt's diagnosis led the entire family to get screened for HCM, including Hannah and Bethany. It finally explained many symptoms they experienced that had long been dismissed and overlooked in their early teens.

The sisters shared meaningful insight on navigating life with HCM and we enjoyed watching a raw and unfiltered video they created that depicts the reality of living with an invisible heart condition.

Moments like this bring deeper meaning and passion to the work we do at Edgewise.

Our team hit pause for a few days for connection and collaboration at our July retreat in beautiful Boulder. It was a chance to step away from the day-to-day, spend time together, and align around the exciting work ahead. ⛰️

We left energized by what's next and grateful for the incredible people who make it possible.

Our team had an unforgettable time attending Jett Foundation's Camp Promise and Muscular Dystrophy Association's Summer Camp. Connecting directly with these amazing communities and helping provide campers with the true summer camp experience is what it's all about!

Over at Camp Promise, we hosted a popular "WhoDunIt" activity, where our staff stepped into character to help campers crack a mystery. And in the "Lab Zone" campers turned into forensic detectives, analyzing tire tracks, fabric, fingerprints, slick residue, and ink! 🕵️‍♂️🔬

Thank you to both organizations for letting us be part of the fun!
