Vegan for the... all of it? One or two of these? How much does it matter? The benefits are real regardless of individual reasons (aka don’t hate on people if their reason is different than yours)

I became vegan for the animals and found that every other reason connected with me as well. Everyone has a different reason, or a different moment that made them go vegan.

I’d love to hear your reason for being vegan 👇 or if you are in the ‘cutting back’ stage, what made you start the transition to vegan/plant based?

Risk is a part of life, especially if you own a businesses. Sometimes you just need to take the leap (after careful planning) and hope for the best.

Now is a great time to be in the plant based food business. Last year, plant based sales increased by 11%, while overall food sales only went up by 2%.

Plant milks saw the biggest jump at a 40% increase while plant based meat came in second at 18%.

The future of plant based food products is wide open. I wonder what 2020 has in store?

Small businesses in CO are now able to apply for disaster relief loans through the SBA.

These loans are federally backed low interest loans that businesses can use for working capital in order to meet needs for payroll or vendor payments.

Hi Everyone - I want to take moment to introduce myself and tell a little bit about why I started VegFund.

My name is April and I’ve been in the banking and finance industry for about 15yrs now and mostly recently I’ve been doing corporate accounting (think financial statements and month end close) for businesses of various size and growth. I also am a CPA with a Master’s Degree in Accounting.

Growing up my parents owned a small bakery/deli and I saw first hand how much love and energy goes in to owning a business. I also saw how difficult it was to even stay afloat, especially in challenging economic times. Now that I’m vegan (2+ yrs) I understand how veganism adds another layer of complexity to small businesses.

I started VegFund to support fellow vegans and small business owners like my parents. I want to see them not only survive, but thrive.
