Today is National Pink Flamingo Day! Flamingos are one of my favorite animals for many reasons, but mostly because they are just awkward. Here are a few more fun flamingo facts:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1- A group of flamingoes is called a flamboyance⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2- They are monogamous and the parents take turns sitting on the egg, and feeding the chick.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3-They eat upside-down!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4- They are social animals, and depend on their group for help raising all of the chicks.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When I started to care for children, I followed the lead of parents and other caregivers, but really felt like there was too much struggle and the children did not feel they were valued.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

But after learning more about Magda Ge**er and her philosophy, I changed the way I approached the children, and soon after I was connecting with them on I level I didn't know was even possible, and was even nicknamed the pied-piper of children! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

One question I get asked often, especially at this time of year, is what sunscreen do you recommend? The reasons my personal favorite is Thinkbaby Sunscreen is because it is easy to rub in, is mineral based, it smells good, it doesn't get all over me as I apply it, and it doesn't leave big white streaks on their clothes (or mine)! Bonus Baby Bare Necessities tip: Put the sunscreen on as they are sitting in your lap, it is easier to apply from behind and you're less likely to get it in their eyes because you can keep them steady! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
