Two years of Frida’s Garden. 🌿
When I started Frida’s Garden a little over two years ago, I don’t think I fully understood just how much this work would become a part of me.
Over the past two years, I’ve grown so much—not just as a childcare provider, but as a person. I’ve learned to trust myself, to slow down, to really pay attention to the children in front of me, and to embrace the beautiful unpredictability of childhood. I’ve grown into this role in ways I never could have anticipated.
And, more than anything, I’ve realized how much I truly love this work. There is so much joy in spending my days with young children. In watching them discover something for the first time. In the silly moments, the big questions, the muddy hands, the little routines, and the relationships that grow over time. I feel incredibly lucky to do work that brings me so much genuine happiness.
But one of the hardest parts of this work is also one of the most meaningful: saying goodbye.
After caring for the same group of kiddos for a little over two years, watching them grow from little ones into the people they are becoming, saying goodbye felt like the end of a really important chapter. It was emotional and bittersweet, and I know that starting over with a new group will feel very different.
I’m grateful that I’ve had these past two months to pause before beginning that next chapter. I’ve been able to spend time with my family, give myself some space to rest, and pour some love into the Frida’s Garden space itself—thinking about how I want it to feel, what I want this community to be, and how I want to continue growing my vision for it.
Now, I’m feeling really excited for what comes next. ❤️
In October, I’ll be welcoming a new group of little ones into Frida’s Garden, and I can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings.
I’m currently offering tours for families who are interested in joining us. If you’re looking for a small, nurturing, nature-based childcare community for your child, I’d love to meet you and show you around. 🌱
Here’s to the next chapter of Frida’s Garden. I’m so grateful to be here.
