Trent Reznor's 'How To Destroy Angels' builds his tour around an amazing LED stage design.

The stage consists of a 16 foot wall of LEDs that creates a shimmering, three-dimensional cube of light effect.

Images from the projector and LEDs formed an abstract texture and a three-dimensional feel, with the band almost floating in between.

What if LED ice cubes told you when you've had enough alcohol for the night?

After an alcohol-induced blackout, MIT Media Lab researcher Dhairya Dand created LED ice cubes that detect the alcohol content of your drink and how much you've consumed.

They light up to the beat of the music, flashing various colors based on the total number of drinks you've had.

And it even has the capability to text your friends if you’ve gone too far!

Researchers at the Fraunhofer Henrich Hertz Institute (HHI) in Germany have successfully transmitted data at 3Gbps using conventional LED bulbs in a laboratory setting. In a real-world setting (at a trade fair), the same system was capable of 500Mbps.
