I have a confession:

When I launched Emerging Women in 2013, I was raising two little kids while building something I deeply believed in. We gathered thousands of women. Brené Brown. Arianna Huffington. Elizabeth Gilbert. 💫 The energy felt electric — like we were opening a door to a new way of leading.

But somewhere along the way, I stopped dancing.

Before Emerging Women, I taught Soul Sweat for 15 years and trained over 50 teachers. When the company grew, that part of me went quiet.

Someday, I told myself.

Someday is now.

I recently started teaching dance again — in person, once a week — and I forgot how much I needed real human connection. The laughter. The movement. The feeling of being fully alive in a room together.

And it reminded me why I started all of this in the first place.

I still believe the world needs more connection-based leadership. More power with, not power over. More spaces where humans can gather, belong, and flourish.

That’s why we created Emerging Human. And lately, I’ve been asking an even bigger question:

What does it look like to build a life where the pieces actually fit together?

Work that lights you up. Community. Embodiment. Meaning. Joy.

I don’t have the full answer yet. But I know I’m building toward it.

Spring is a gentle nudge to wake up and move forward, but if you’ve been feeling stuck, you’re not alone. 🌱

We often crave certainty, holding tightly to how we think things should look. But what if, instead of forcing it, we allowed ourselves to flow?

Growth happens when we step into the unknown. Trying new paths, shifting patterns, and staying open to unexpected opportunities.
