Project responsibilities include project and technical management, well site/field geology, oversight of remedial investigations, regulatory compliance, expedited site characterizations, evaluations of remedial programs, client and regulatory presentations, and the management of field personnel. These projects range from collecting soil and groundwater samples to extensive hydrostratigraphic analysis to define the effects of hydrogeology on contaminant fate and transport, and contaminant recovery for vadose and saturated zone remediation programs. Projects have been conducted in many varied hydrogeological settings including sand and clay terrains as well as karst terrains, hard rock and fractured bedrock environments. We have designed innovative soil and groundwater sampling methods in many instances where the complexity of the subsurface geology required sophisticated exploration techniques. We have assisted in the design and implementation of remediation systems for a wide spectrum of contaminants including both inorganic and organic chemicals found in soil and groundwater. Organic chemical contaminants have included chlorinated solvents, fuel, pesticides and herbicides, and PCB's among many others. JES is currently operated solely by Mr. Bruce Manchon, a licensed Professional Geologist in California, Texas, and Nebraska. Manchon employs environmental professionals when a project requires additional staffing. JES has established a network of contacts that can provide most services required in delivery of environmental projects. Bruce has conducted workshops and courses on borehole geophysics, direct push technologies (DPT) , improvement of water quality in wells and various aspects of hydrogeology.
