Coming soon to the Journeys Aviation fleet, Cessna 182-A, N4790D, one of the nicest 1958 aircraft you will ever see. This aircraft has been updated in many ways and now boats a nice Garmin panel including Dual G5s PFD/MFD, GMA-345, GNC-355, GNC-215, GFC-500, GI-275 EIS, which makes N4790D Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA) Qualified. This will be a great aircraft for instrument training, and mountain flying training, and will be very attractively priced for the next couple of months. Better photos coming soon!

In addition to our Citabria, Journeys has added another option for Tail Wheel endorsements - a Cessna 150C Tail wheel conversion with side by side seating and a beautiful paint job reminiscent of 1950's C-180 paint jobs. Boulder Airport Day 2025 is almost here! Plan on coming out to the Boulder Airport Saturday June 7 between 8am and 3pm to see aircraft on display, and enjoy the pancake breakfast or burger lunch that will be available for a reasonable donation. We're expecting some interesting aircraft and helicopters, and you will even be able to take a ride in a Beech 18 operated by the Commemorative Air Force.

Dear Journeys Pilots

After what seems to have been an interminably windy winter, it appears that we're finally headed into some decent weather for flying. No doubt the wind will be back, and we probably aren't done with snow but the potential for good flying weather is looking much better than it has for the past several months. Now is the time to consider getting back out and knocking some rust off. Not only is the weather getting nicer, but the days are getting longer so there is time to fly in the later afternoons when there is still plenty of light, and the wind tends to calm down.

Journeys Aviation is conducting a Private Pilot Ground School starting Feb 2nd, through April 9th (excluding March 23 and 26) at the Boulder Airport Sunday and Wednesday Evenings, 5:30 - 8:00 pm. $300 per student including a plotter, logbook and E6B. Journeys has two aircraft back on the flight line after extended maintenance absences. N333RX is our 180hp Cessna 172 that is back after an engine overhaul and some improvements to the panel. 3RX has been one of our most favorite flying machines, and is now improved for your enjoyment.

N202MM is our Pipistrel Virus SWiS, a 100 hp fuel injected, TAA qualified Light Sport Aircraft with its glass panel, autopilot, and ballistic parachute is back on the line after hunting down an issue with its cooling system. The Virus should be a cost effective IFR training platform for those advancing past their PPL.
