I’m in the middle of year 8 as a soloprenuer. I never regret it. If I’m being honest, certain experiences can sometimes break your trust in others to navigate your journey in critical ways that cement your trust in yourself for life. I’m learning experience doesn’t eliminate uncertainty, it deepens your well for it. Eight years of clients who’ve trusted me. Eight years of difficult rooms. Eight years of conversations that shifted something. Eight years of huge wins, mistakes, experiments, referrals, workshops, coaching sessions, conflict resolution and restoration, invoices, proposals, wins, disappointments and moments when I thought, Oh. This is why I do this.
So in the madness of 2026, I’m not pretending I have a perfectly mapped five-year plan, I’m riding the wave and staying balanced on my surfboard. I’m paying attention. To what leaders are struggling with. To what teams aren’t saying out loud. To what this moment is asking of organizations. And to the work I’m uniquely equipped to do. And my clients are saying that it’s working and that the impact is felt and my presence is needed. I receive that with pride.
Eight years in, I still believe workplaces can be more human and I’ve seen growth and proof points. I just understand a lot more about how hard and how necessary that work really is. Here’s to year eight. Still building. Still questioning. Still evolving. Still here. Still prefer to help as many clients as I can to get the good work accomplished with some increased room and compassion for themselves and others in the process ❤️
