Just got a hard copy back of some branding we did for our client, a local tax lawyer! FYI: Marketing for lawyers is tough because you have to get approval from the bar association for everything! He's happy, they're happy and the 3k plus receiving this in the mail should be happy because he's the best!

So, you have a project--Yeah! And a deadline--Boo! Where to begin? Brainstorming. I have to admit to being old school when it comes to brain storming by preferring to use paper and pencil. Write down everything--don't edit yourself. If you hit on something that really resonates--pull it out and work it some more. Doodle, surf, read, maybe even walk away and get an ice cream. Come back and review. Are you on topic? Is your message clear and simple? Good-Keep going. Not so much? Rinse and repeat!

Working smart keeps your energy reserve high for things that are important and optimizes your time. It also helps you think more creatively and hones time management skills!
Some tips for smart work:

1. Stop multitasking
2. Group similiar tasks
3. Schedule big tasks earlier in the day
4. Take Breaks
5. Ignore the phone!

Someone made a post about mistakes and I was inspired to the same. Are you willing to admit your mistakes and learn from them? It isn't easy being "wrong." But it is perfectly ok. We learn what not to do or what TO DO next time. Being wrong for me has always been a hard one. And while I don't care to dwell on the past, I can surely see where me not allowing the mistake or being in fear of the mistake thwarted my efforts and my path to success. Embrace those mistakes, be humble, and grow!!!

Did I mention we also offer therapy? 😂

This is such an important idea. You must always be learning and improving and keeping up with new skills, from written communication to management concepts to the latest tech trends, if you want to stay desirable--as a worker or in your own business! This is particularly important for older workers. I taught senior citizens Word, Excel, Email, and Web safety and it's hard to have to learn new things when you waited too long!

We carry alot of baggage, alot of reasons why not. Take some time to work on those why nots and turn them into actionable ways to say Yes! But seriously, go for it! 😏

I believe it is ok to say no! When you take on people or projects that don't align with your goals, you set yourself back. You create discord in the harmony of everything you've worked so hard for. It doesn't mean back down from a challenge, just take projects and clients that you feel good about.
