We are officially up and running in South Florida! Harper’s Promise now serves all the way up to Jupiter and all the way down to Miami. Today we are in Boca, introducing ourselves to local veterinarians and dropping off business cards. Our Bash (and his new bashawk, courtesy Chewy's Paws Dog Grooming) are keeping us company!

Our co-founder, Ace, is up at Narratively today, writing about the founding of Harper’s Promise - how it saved them after a degenerative disease diagnosis and being forced from their job as a mortician, and how it felt to go through the euthanasia process with their dog, Harper (and their best friend’s dog, too.)

Everyone who lives with a pet is familiar with the cone of shame, but have you seen the cone of ~fabulousness~ before? We are HERE for it!

Any person who's been within shouting distance of a dog owner has probably heard the term "cone of shame," a euphemism for the medically prescribed devices that dogs must sometimes wear. Even in the short time we knew Zoi before her euthanasia, we could tell she was a tiny tank (kinda like our Harper was!) Zoi loved duck hunting with her packmate, Tag (they may be tiny, but they are fierce!); modeling her ~advanced style~, and practicing the art of listening (but only when it served her interests.) Zoi was a beautiful little wild child, an unruly free spirit, and - in the words of the humans who knew her best - “the queen of giving zero f**ks.” is honored to have met Zoi and her family and performed her euthanasia.
